How America "Really" Feels About The Virus

We see the images of people pausing and rolling down their window as they drive up to be tested for coronavirus. It's important, because the results of the test are important.

Polling and survey organizations are also "taking the temperature" and "swabbing the throat and nose" to discover how Americans "really" feel about the Chinese virus and how our government is responding.

In light of how the media is seeking to cast this medical crisis, the polling and surveys reveal how people "really" feel can be quite different from the reports of the media.

Revealing.

Be informed.

The images have become common---some of you have been the person in the car that drives up to a medical station to be "tested" for the virus. The medical person takes your temperature, swabs your nose and throat, deeper than you would have preferred (I'm told), and you move on.

Drive through testing is becoming part of the new normal---at least for now.

Rasmussen Reports has done some drive-in testing of their own to find out how Americans "really" feel about this whole thing now being called a "pandemic."

Yesterday, I wrote in this Faith and Freedom Daily column---and talked about it on the radio--- that the press is misrepresenting the truth, particularly in regards to how the President and his task force are doing in their lead against the coronavirus.

The press has an agenda, and it isn't reporting honestly what's really happening.

Just as I finished our live origination of the Straight Talk radio program yesterday, President Trump and the VP Pence-led task force held a press conference.

Before many minutes had passed, ABC News reporter Cecilia Vega, in a snarly voice and demeanor, challenged the President asking, "Why do you keep calling this the Chinese virus?" citing "dozens" of incidents of bias against Chinese Americans, saying, "Why do you keep using this? A lot of people say it's racist."

The President responded, "It's not racist at all, no, it comes from China that's why I want to be accurate," repeating he just "wants to be to be accurate."

You will note in the video, In a followup, the President asked MS. Vega if she was aware that the Chinese government has been spreading propaganda that our military people were the ones who carried the virus from the US to China?---Affirming what we had just been talking and writing about.

Obviously, ABC News was more interested in political correctness and "getting Trump" than what's really happening in regard to the "Chinese virus."

How Americans---not the press--- "really feel."

Rasmussen Reports discovered the following:

  • Americans strongly support the government's travel bans and school closings in response to the virus. However, 25% think panic, not reason, is driving some decisions.
  • 80% of American adults agree with the federal government's decision to temporarily ban travelers from China and nearly all European countries to prevent the spread of the virus. Only 12% disagree.
  • 70% think the schools in their state should be closed. 19% disagree. 11% don't know what they think.
  • 64% say the numerous event closures and postponements in response to the virus is "good thinking." 26%, however, view them as a panicked overreaction. 10% are not sure how they feel about it.
  • Regarding travel bans, Republicans are more supportive than Democrats.
  • 91% of Republicans agree with the bans. 78% of Democrats agree. 75% of voters not affiliated with either major party agree
  • Democrats (82%), Republicans (68% ) and (61%) unaffiliated voters are enthusiastic about closing the schools in their state.

Rasmussen also found that 42% believe China should pay for some of the world's coronavirus costs.

And 60% of Republicans see the corona scare as a tool to get Trump.

Clearly, the American people see things very differently from the press.

We can expect the mainstream media to continue with their agenda to "get Trump"---whatever that involves. But we will also soon see the far-Left media---ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and other lessor lights, begin to organize around Joe Biden. They will cover for him, they will promote him and assist him, rather than report the truth.

Media Research Council (MRC) is a conservative organization that monitors the media every day and report what they say, and what they don't say to push their secular progressive agenda.

MRC has pointed out that they are already coming together to "hide Biden's blunders."

One incident involved Biden trying to recite the first few lines of the Declaration of Independence ahead of Super Tuesday: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, all men and women created by---you know, you know, the thing."

He also referred to Super Tuesday, as "Super Thursday."

With Bernie out as of yesterday afternoon, Biden only has himself standing between him and his dream to be the Democrat nominee for President of the United States---unless the Democrat Party decides he can't compete with Trump and slides someone else into the nomination at the last moment.

One thing is certain: Don't depend on the press to keep you informed.

Someone has said, "Propaganda does not deceive people; it merely helps them deceive themselves."

Be not deceived.

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Prayerful.
