Pelosi: "Civilization at Stake in 2020 Election"

Speaking at the University of Boston yesterday, Speaker Nancy Pelosi told the young impressionable minds,  "Civilization as we know it is at stake in the 2020 election."

I agree.

Here's why.

Be informed.

The view from the Left.

Ms. Pelosi also touched on a number of other topics, telling the students she "usually always casts her vote for a woman," assuring one kid that "yes, it would be okay even if the first woman president was a Republican."

Nancy was obviously put off at the President, in that he had just announced that he would not be attending Pelosi's annual St. Patrick's Day event.

Judd Deere, a White House spokesman, said this in the official statement:
"Since the Speaker has chosen to tear this nation apart with her actions and her rhetoric, the President will not participate in moments where she so often chooses to drive discord and disunity, and will instead celebrate the rich history and strong ties between the United States and Ireland at the White House on March 12."

That would be the day after tomorrow---in advance of Pelosi's party.

Pelosi has made similar claims in the past regarding defeating President Trump.

In 2017, she claimed that the Republicans' tax reform bill would be "Armageddon with years-long ramifications for the working class."

The bill "has" had ramifications. Until China's coronavirus invaded our society, the "working class" that Pelosi refers to, were doing well as the economy was booming and expanding. Under current leadership, most economists believe it will continue after the coronavirus epidemic dies down.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Pelosi branded the President as "the most dangerous person in American history"---while urging people to vote him out.

There are, indeed, a number of ways our civilization, as we know it, is at stake in the 2020 election.

Let's address one of them.

Revising Christianity by revising the Bible.

Nancy Pelosi often chooses to refer to Scriptures that don't exist, to affirm her beliefs---like "the Bible says caring for the environment is worship to God"---which theologians can not find in the Bible.

She says she knows it's there because she has quoted it often, but can't remember where it is.

She often claims abortion is a "blessing" using the Bible to affirm her secular progressive support of abortion.

Former presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg was the leading evangelist for religious Left views this year. I've written about it a number of times here in this Faith and Freedom Daily article. And talked about it on our daily live radio program.

Joe Biden, who is interestingly already meeting with his advisers discussing who will be part of a Biden presidency, has said Pete Buttigieg will be included.

Pete has repeatedly told the story of how his "marriage" to his "husband" has brought him closer to God.

But the most recent prophetic voice is Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez. She is apparently carrying on the "ministry" of Pete Buttigieg.

She is now claiming that religious liberty advocates are "weaponizing" the Bible "to justify bigotry" much like "those who justified slavery did."

During a recent House Oversight Committee hearing about the Trump administration's "religious liberty assault on LGBTQ rights," Ocasio-Cortez said people using religious exemptions to exclude gay and transgender citizens remind her of those who "weaponized" Scripture to enable slavery, white supremacy, and racism.

She noted more than once,
"It's very difficult to sit here and listen to arguments in the long history of this country of using Scripture and weaponizing and abusing Scripture to justify bigotry."
She said,
"White supremacists have done it. Those who justified slavery have done it. Those who fought against integration did it, and we're seeing it today."

Ironically, it was her Democrat Party who "fought to keep slavery."

Unfortunately, her views are not isolated. While more outspoken about them, her views are reflected among many in the progressive Left.

If you believe what the Bible teaches and commands regarding human sexuality---you are a bigot, a racist, and a white supremacist, regardless of the color of your skin.

Ocasio-Cortez, a self-professed Catholic, says her Christian faith "compels people to treat others as if they are holy."

She continued, referring to "Mr. Minton" who was testifying as an LGBTQ panelist:
"My faith commands me to treat Mr. Minton as holy because he is sacred, because his life is sacred. He is holy."

What she apparently does not understand is that God alone is holy.

And if life is so holy and sanctified, how do these people advocate to kill unwanted children in the womb?

Those of us who receive God's grace and forgiveness through His Son Jesus Christ are justified by faith. Born again. Those who do not accept God's grace, forgiveness, and restoration are not.

The Obama administration was a champion for the homosexual agenda. And for abortion.

The Trump administration is not.

It is true, "Civilization as we have known it is at stake in the 2020 election."
