Targeting Trump

When House Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) told around 200 Democrats on a conference call last Thursday that the party should exploit the coronavirus stimulus legislation, the motives of the Left became clear.

On cue, Speaker Pelosi, who had been on vacation last week, flew in from San Francisco and announced that all of the work Congress had put into creating a bill designed to help those hurting from coronavirus was off the table.

She said, "I have my own bill." And the motives and the arrogance of the Left became even more clear.

Why Clyburn matters

Yes, Clyburn is a Congressman, but does what he thinks or says matter that much?

It does. Joe Biden was miserably failing in his presidential campaign---the Left-friendly press was even asking if he would have to withdraw from his presidential campaign.

Then he went to South Carolina.

Clyburn came out publicly and strongly for Biden. He is now generally credited for resurrecting Joe Biden's campaign. We saw it happen. So did Bernie. While Bernie's mad, all conservatives and evangelicals should be vigilant. Very vigilant.

On a conference call with about 200 Democrats, Rep. Clyburn told them the party should exploit the coronavirus stimulus.

He said, "This is a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision."

This is reminiscent of Barack Obama's Chief-of-Staff, Rahm Emanuel, who told the Wall Street Journal regarding the global financial crises of 2008,

"You never want a serious crisis to go to waste...This crisis provides the opportunity for us to do things that you could not do before."

Last Sunday night, Clyburn compared President Trump to Nazi dictator and mass murderer Adolf Hitler, saying that Trump could exploit current political circumstances to emulate Hitler's seizure of power.

AXIOS is reporting that Clyburn said,

"I used to wonder how could the people of Germany allow Hitler to exist. But with each passing day, I'm beginning to understand how. And that's why I'm sounding the alarm."

Clyburn compared Republicans' coalescing around Trump at his last State of The Union speech, as Nazis supporting Hitler amid his rise to power.

Clyburn has political power and influence that transcends South Carolina.

Soros and others of like mind have targeted Trump with hundreds of millions of dollars. Hollywood celebrities and others are joining him.

The Democrat's leading super PAC will begin hitting Trump over the coronavirus in four battleground states. Millions of the dollars are coming from billionaire George Soros.

Soros represents one of the ways the so-called progressive Left wants to "restructure things to fir our vision."

Soros is pretty much all about open borders. A global village. One world government, etc.

Priorities USA Action is spending $6 million this week on ads criticizing President Trump for his response to the coronavirus pandemic. The ads begin in Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin this week.

Priorities say they are planning to spend $150 million in states like Michigan and Wisconsin believing they can undermine Trump causing Biden to win the state.

Priorities USA is not the only far-Left super PAC targeting Trump.

PACRONYM is a super PAC tied to the non-profit ACRONYM, which was in charge of the botched Iowa app that caused so much chaos during the Iowa caucuses. They are launching a multimillion-dollar cyber attack on Trump, beginning this week.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars have already been received for this assault from Speaker Nancy Pelosi's PAC, millions from failed presidential candidate billionaire Tom Steyer, $8 million more from hedge fund billionaire Donald Sussman---even millions from Hollywood director Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw.

American Bridge will be spending at least $50 million to "weaken" Trump in the midwest.

Dark money groups like Arabella Advisors, Future Majority and others are laying out $275 million during the 2020 election cycle to target Trump.

Most of the money, from what I can see, is being spent to target Trump, not promote Biden. They'll likely keep him out of sight.

Chinese Regime has changed the message and is now targeting Trump.

The Epoch Times is not a source I often quote, but they have published a story that is pretty well-sourced, tracking China's messaging in their own Chinese newspapers.

They point out a notable shift in messaging, saying "the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is now turning to directly target President Donald Trump as part of its global disinformation campaign---aggressively pushing terms such as 'Trump Pandemic'."

They also note that the Chinese communists and their state-run newspapers are working to push conspiracy theories about Trump and the US being responsible for bringing the coronavirus to China, instead of the other way around.

I wrote about that last week.

Also noted is the communist government that has blocked its own citizens from using social media has now gone to social media themselves to run their campaign against Trump. The Chinese communist government is running ads on both Facebook and Twitter. During the past several days, state-run Xinhua News has been promoting hashtags "#Trumpandemic" and #Trumpvirus."

They have also launched a worldwide campaign to undermine President Trump.

What do you do when it seems the enemy is within and without?

Here's what President Trump did last Friday.

Tony Perkins wrote,

"There's hardly a busier, more burdened man in America now than President Trump. And yet on Friday, when he heard that Vice President Mike Pence was about to jump on an FRC conference call with 700 pastors, he asked if he could join."

Perkins, who meets with the President somewhat regularly, said:

"Hearing his voice was a surprise, even to me---but hearing his earnest desire to stand with the faith leaders of America in times of crisis certainly wasn't."

VP Mike Pence told the group when the President heard "I was going to be speaking to all of you, he was in the midst of an extraordinarily busy day. But he looked at me and said, 'I need to find time. I have to find time'."

Pence continued that this prayer time means everything to the President.

Perkins notes---

"So despite everything facing America, the two most important leaders of this nation stopped everything to pray with the people on the ground, who are ministering to their communities."

Before leaving the call, the President turned to the pastors and said, "I want to thank you for praying for our country and for those who are sick."

When asked what he wanted most regarding the prayers of the pastors and their congregations, Trump said, "The health of the country...The strength of the country."

It's interesting when asked what he would most like the pastors to pray for, that the man who is hunted by those who seek to destroy him thought of our country first, taking no thought for himself.

A stark contrast of worldviews.

Pray for our country.

Pray for the President and Vice President.
