Biden Snaps At Black Reporter RE Cognitive Test

Biden bristled Tuesday morning when a black journalist with CBS News asked whether or not he has taken a cognitive test.

In response, Biden, stumbling over his words several times in the course of a minute, asked the reporter if he would pass a drug test---asking, "Are you a junkie?"

The importance of Biden's choice for a VP grows greater by the day.

Be informed, not misled.

No one but Biden believes Biden doesn't have a cognitive problem.

Except, perhaps, his wife.

During an event with the National Association of Black Journalists, CBS News' Errol Barnett asked if Biden has taken a test that would assess his mental fitness.

Biden snapped back, "No, I haven't taken a test! Why the h*** would I take a test? C'mon, man!"

Then Biden challenged Barnett: "That's like saying to you before you got in this program if you take a test where you're taking cocaine or not, what do you think? Huh? Are you a junkie?"

He continued, "No I haven't taken a test. Why the h*** would I take a test?"

Barnett then said, "What do you say to President Trump who brags about his test and makes your mental state an issue for voters?"

The former Vice President's response: "Well, if you can't figure out the difference between an elephant and a lion, I don't know what the h*** he's talking about."

After spending a few moments boasting about his mental fitness and readiness to debate Trump---stumbling over most of his words---he said, (this is an exact quote):

"I am very willing to let the American people judge my physical, mental fil---my physical as well as my mental fil-fitness."

That's interesting for a couple of reasons.

First, in May, Biden caused controversy when he told "Breakfast Club" co-host "Charlamagne Tha God"---a black man---"If you have a problem figuring out whether you're voting for me or Trump, then you ain't black."

And secondly, in June a reporter asked him about his mental fitness and if he had taken a cognitive test. Biden responded,

"I've been tested and I'm constantly tested. All you've got to do is watch me, and I can't hardly wait to compare my cognitive capability to the cognitive capability of the man I'm running against."

So, has he been tested or not?

According to a December 2019 Washington Post story proclaiming Joe to be "fit" for the presidency, Stuart Jay Olshansky, a professor of health at the University of Illinois at Chicago, reviewed Biden's medical report and told the Post, "The only test that hasn't been done is the cognitive functioning test."

"But," Olshansky said, "the fact that he's on the campaign trail and meeting a rigorous travel and meeting schedule probably would suffice as a replacement for the formal test for cognitive functioning."

Now that he refuses to go out in public, with rare exceptions, what does that mean? It's becoming pretty clear why Biden doesn't want to be tested, and why his handlers don't either,

In 2018,  former White House Physician Dr. Ronny Jackson told Associated Press that President Trump "aced" a cognitive test, and was in outstanding physical health.

What about the debates?

There are currently 3 debates scheduled between President Trump and Joe Biden. Tuesday, September 29 was scheduled at Notre Dame University, but due to coronavirus concerns, it has been moved to Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

The second debate is scheduled for October 15. It was originally scheduled to be held at the University of Michigan, now moved to Miami due to coronavirus concerns. The final debate is scheduled for October 22 at Belmont University in Nashville.

One vice presidential debate is scheduled for October 7 at the University of Utah.

The Trump campaign requested yesterday that a 4th debate be scheduled earlier in September or the September 29 debate be moved up because people will be voting earlier than usual due to so many mail-in ballots this election.

Clearly, Biden struggles when speaking. Will he actually show up?

Many of his handlers and advisers are strongly and publicly advising him not to debate Trump. They say Trump is not a legitimate president or candidate and a variety of similar reasons. One reason they have floated is that Biden is so far ahead in the polls, there's no reason for him to do it.

It's apparent they don't want Joe on his own in public.

However.

Joe's wife, Jill Biden, told Fox on Tuesday that Joe is very close to choosing his VP running mate, and "Oh, yes, he'll debate. I think it's three debates that they decided on so yeah, he'll be there."

We'll see.

One thing is certain. The 2020 election will be as consequential as any election in the history of our country.

Samuel Adams, one of our Founding Fathers and known as the Father of the American Revolution, said:

"Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual---or at least that he ought not seek to do; but that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country."
