Leadership says arrangements of overflow rooms, etc, had been made well in advance, but authorities denied hundreds of students access.
Speakers Tucker Carlson, Donald Trump Jr., Sebastion Gorka, Charlie Kirk, Dennis Prager, Rep. Matt Gaetz, and other well-known speakers were forced to take megaphones to share the conservative message with those locked out of the convention venue in West Palm Beach.
Discrimination against America's young conservatives is appalling, disgusting, and consistently getting worse.
Be informed, not misled.
The hundreds of attendees who were locked out chanted, "Let us in, let us in," while the officials refused to let them in because the officials were acting on behalf of the so-called "greater good."
Charlie Kirk and his Turning Point USA team had made arrangements for any overflow crowd needs that may have arisen---it was abundantly clear to all involved that the authorities had no interest in accommodating America's young conservatives, so the speakers spoke to both those inside the convention venue, and to those locked out using megaphones.
Officials of Palm Beach County, which owns the convention center, claimed that Turning Point simply oversold tickets, but a spokesman with the Turning Point organization said that's not true at all. The organization had specifically planned, using overflow rooms, for all ticketed holders.
However, when the main venue reached the proscribed capacity, county officials locked the doors, refusing to allow hundreds of ticket holders into the overflow rooms--- which was planned to meet all county Covid regulations.
One TPUSA spokesperson said,
"When they blocked the attendees from picking up their badges in the foyer, it caused chaos with hundreds of kids stuck outside---They wouldn't even allow them in to get their badges so that they could access any of the overflow spaces in different parts of the convention center."
The parking lots were filled by young conservative kids who wouldn't leave.
Another spokesman said, "This is a prime example of how these arbitrary, draconian lockdown measures cause chaos, just like they have throughout the rest of the country."
I agree. So did the speakers who gave their speeches to those inside, and then outside over megaphones.
The conservative message.
From Don Jr. to Tucker Carlson to Dennis Prager, a conservative worldview was taught and encouraged, but it was speaker Matt Gaetz---Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, who put actions to his speech.
He told the crowd of this generation of conservatives,
"My name's Matt Gaetz. I'm a Florida man, Florida congressman, and I'm Nancy Pelosi's worst nightmare in the United States House of Representatives."
He said,
"I've got bad news. The last time I gave a speech, I got banned from the state where I gave the speech, the governor told me I was no longer welcome, but the good news is that it was only New Jersey."
After talking about the resistance and outright discrimination against conservatives in our culture, he addressed the obvious and abundant fraud in the 2020 election.
He said:
"They couldn't beat Trump with actual votes at the ballot box. So they tried with impeachment at the witness box, and when that failed they ran to the mailbox where they could process hundreds of thousands of votes, often time in the darkness of night without signature matches, excluding the observers, sometimes where people voted in different states, sometimes when they lived in different states, sometimes when they weren't even alive at all."
"So," he said, "On January 6th, I'm joining with the fighters in the Congress and we are going to object to electors from states that didn't run clean elections."
Quoting Senator-elect Tommy Tuberville (R-AL ), a previous career football coach who is also joining the opposition to electors on January 6, Gaetz said, "It's time to stand and fight."
January 6, 2020, is going to be a bigger deal than the media wants you to know. House Representatives are starting to move toward an attempt to reverse the election because of the fraud in the election.
At least a couple of Senators will likely be joining them---in resistance to Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's warning not to do it.
The fuel that's feeding the fire.
Polls and surveys consistently show that American conservatives are getting fed up with the unveiled discrimination toward them and anyone else who holds a different view than that of the far-left radical progressives.
A recent Cato survey found that 71% of Americans say political correctness has silenced discussions our society should be having, and 58% said they hold political views they are afraid to share.
Even NBC and CBS have found similar numbers in their surveys.
Last year the Hill published a feature article explaining the "appalling discrimination against America's young conservatives."
Douglas MacKinnon, who wrote the article, was a political and communications consultant to Ronald Reagon and George H.W. Bush.
And he tells of his experience at a political event in which a Republican politician was making his appeal for support when a group of high school students spoke up asking him and the 50 to 70-year-old's in the room if there was anything they could do to help them with the threatening discrimination against them if they even mention their Christian faith or their conservative beliefs,
MacKinnon recalls that the adults were silent, while the politician gave a meaningless generic answer before moving on to more important matters.
He writes of one high school student: "The desperation in her voice was palpable as she outlined this growing injustice that, sadly, many school districts are able to hide from public view."
Continuing he said,
"Leaving aside the damaging disinterest of established politicians, a high school student's plea for help from the 'adults in the room' should serve as a major warning flag for all who believe that no student should be discriminated against."
In following up on his concerns with other high school students, he shared this:
"One student proudly proclaimed to me to be part of the resistance against President Trump, and proudly acknowledged to me 'Oh, yeah. If any of my conservative friends speak out to defend Trump or a conservative viewpoint or especially question global warming, they are screwed over by the teachers'."
Takeaway
The far-left radicals have gained control over the largest megaphones in our culture: the media, academia, and the entertainment industry.
Not coincidentally, these are the same institutions that strongly condemn discrimination---but do so selectively because to the left, the end always justifies the means.
Now thought control by social media has filtered into our social discourse.
It is a battle for both the mind and the soul of your children---and this nation.
This is why we regularly encourage parents to take charge of their child's education. Be aggressively informed as to what is being taught to your child while under the influence of our government-run schools.
Public education has become the favorite and most effective tool in the hands of the far-left radical movement.
Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Prayerful.
