Babies Crying, Tanks Empty: Total Dysfunction

While mothers are driving from store to store to store trying to find baby formula for their baby, our government is delivering pallets---pallets! of baby formula to the border for illegals with babies.

The issue is so critical that President Biden blocked the press from covering his closed meeting with baby formula manufacturers yesterday.

Down the hall, White House climate advisor Gina McCarthy copied a CBS News reporter on an email chain that the administration would cancel a series of oil and gas lease sales---the last available.

This as gas surged to $4.37 per gallon---diesel hit a record $5.56.

Is the dysfunction purposeful, or are they that inadequate?

Jesus taught capitalism, not socialism. Our dysfunction is rooted in both inadequacy and the ideology of Marxist socialism.

Be informed, not misled.

Babies without food.

Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) says that while Americans face a worsening baby formula shortage, “They are sending pallets–pallets! of baby formula to the border.”

Who is “they?”

John Nolte writes, "You don’t think Joe Biden would put Americans at the head of the baby formula line, do you? Democrats hate Americans, especially the babies they didn’t get a chance to abort."

Hoping to change the country’s demographics (a stated goal of Democrats and the media) he says, "Biden is flooding the country with illegal immigrants, a record number of them, even as he spends $40 billion to protect Ukraine’s border. But now, according to this congresswoman, people who have no business being in our country are receiving the baby formula countless American mothers can’t find for their own babies."

Let me be clear. America has been and continues to be the most generous nation in the history of the world. We are always the first to show up when a disaster occurs. We have and do bind up the broken and the bruised, and we always feed the hungry---exactly as the Lord calls us to do. And God has blessed America for this and other reasons, which have enabled us to do what we do.

Personally, I have spent time, much time over a period of years in the countries and in the cities, villages, and homes of the same groups of people who are illegally flooding across our border. I slept in their dirt-floored homes, ate with them, prayed with them, built churches with them, and preached the gospel with them. Please understand, I love them. And so does God.

But God did not bless America so it could become a borderless, confused, chaotic gathering of overactive advocates of destructive behaviors and national policies.

And that's where our country stands today. But I'm hopeful. I believe there is an awakening in our country to what is really going on---in public schools, in halls of power, in entertainment, in the news that is not "news," censorship of free speech, and the silencing of religious expression. Especially Christian expression.

And a war on capitalism.

How do we know the Biden administration is shipping pallets of baby formula to illegals while our babies are without?

Congresswoman Kat Cammack says she received photographic evidence of the border deliveries from a border patrol agent. She has posted the pictures on social media.

In a video, Cammack said this border patrol agent told her, “Kat, you would not believe the shipment [of baby formula] I just brought in.”

Cammack added that this guy “has been a border patrol agent for 30 years, and he has never seen anything quite like this. He is a grandfather, and he is saying that his own children can’t get baby formula for his grandkids.”

She adds, “He, as a border patrol agent, just took in pallets, pallets of baby formula for all of the illegals that are crossing into the United States.”

She said, "If this is the case, no one, including this congresswoman, is saying that the babies of illegals should not get this formula. But why are they first in line? Good heavens, illegal immigrants in Texas are getting baby formula when we know American citizens and legal immigrants in Texas are “desperate” to find formula.

Nolte says, "If these illegals didn’t stroll into our country illegally, something Biden is openly encouraging and allowing, we wouldn’t have this problem.

The congresswoman also makes a good point. Using secret flights, the Biden administration will release most of these illegals into the American interior, which will only stress our baby formula resources all the more … and our housing resources … and our law enforcement resources.

Democrats always put Americans last.

Empty tanks-empty wallets: The hallmark of socialism.

Americans are being forced to choose between going places and buying food. In the case of the mothers with hungry babies, they're being forced to use their gas to go from store to store looking for formula.

White House climate advisor Gina McCarthy told a CBS reporter on an email chain Wednesday that the "administration would cancel a series of oil and gas lease sales."

Another Biden official responded immediately saying that a decision had not yet been made.

Dysfunction.

A CBS reporter is told they are---then CBS is told no decision has been made, and on and on it rolls.

As the day wore on the administration eventually confirmed that it will be canceling offshore oil and gas lease sales set for Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico.

They said the decision was made "due to lack of industry interest and legal issues in the Gulf of Mexico."

The "issues" are layers of restrictions the Biden administration has put on oil and gas companies to actually access the drilling sites. These restrictions are demanded by radical environmental activists.

The canceled sales were the only remaining planned lease sales.

Welcome to Biden's socialist America---or "Bidenization" as some are now calling it.

According to AAA, the average pump price of gas nationwide surged to $4.37 as of Tuesday, while diesel fuel hit $5.56 a gallon.

“There’s little, if any, good news about fuel prices heading into summer, and the problem could become worse should we see an above-average hurricane season, which could knock out refinery capacity at a time we badly need it as refined product inventories continue to plummet,” Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at research firm GasBuddy, said in a statement Tuesday.

In February, President Biden said that he would “work like the devil” to bring prices down.

Many, myself included, believe he has....worked like the devil.

Did Jesus teach socialism or capitalism?

My friend Bryan Fischer, with American Family Association, wrote an article that answers this question biblically.

He begins with this: "Despite the best efforts of liberals, including liberal 'evangelicals' like Jim Wallis, to turn Jesus into a flaming socialist, His own words tell a different story. In fact, the stories that Jesus told could have only come from a capitalist's capitalist. Jesus was, in fact, a capitalist to the core."

And this: "For instance, in one of His most famous stories, the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30), Jesus commits a number of grievous and politically wicked sins according to the worldview of progressives, who try to recast Him in their own image as the Karl Marx of Christendom."

The rest of the article is linked here. I strongly recommend you read it.

Capitalism is consistent with biblical teaching. Socialism is not, because it is about neither compassion nor goodwill; it's about power.
