Biden: "No LGBTQ --- No Free Lunches"

The Biden administration is requiring schools to comply with its LGBT policies or lose billions in federal funding for school lunches.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food and Nutrition Service announced in May it will prevent low-income students from participating in its National School Lunch Program if their public school does not adopt the administration's interpretation of Title IX, which holds that the federal civil rights law's provision against discrimination based on sex includes designations of sexual orientation and gender identity.

Ludacris.

Be informed, not misled.

Remaining true to the teaching of Karl Marx, Saul Alinski, and others of like mind, President Biden is threatening schools that if they do not line up with his LGBTQ agenda, he will cut off funds for food for disadvantaged children.

His noble cause to have the "back" of the transgender movement justifies any means.

The announcement builds on President Joe Biden's Day One Executive Order on Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation, which permits transgender students to use male or female bathrooms and play sports with either sex. Biden's executive order drew on the Supreme Court's ruling in Bostock v. Clayton County, which altered the meaning of "sex" in Title VII to include sexual orientation and gender identity.

No LGBTQ---no food for the kids.

The response from normal people was disgust.

A spokeswoman for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) said the Biden administration’s decision to "withhold food from disadvantaged children in order to advance a deranged political agenda" was "appalling."

"We will not allow Biden to force Floridians to choose between children’s food and parents’ rights," according to DeSantis’s press secretary. "That is the kind of ‘decision' that a totalitarian regime would force upon its citizenry."

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem (R) tweeted that her state will take action.

"Joe Biden has threatened to take away children’s school lunch money to pursue his radical agenda," Noem said. "He’s targeting states like ours that make it clear biological men do NOT belong in girls’ bathrooms and sports. If you act on this, Joe, we’ll see you in court and we will win."

Jonathan Butcher, a fellow in education at the Heritage Foundation, says:

"Biden's interpretation of Title IX will also prohibit schools from informing parents of their child's decision to assume a different gender: "It is a parent's right to know what their children  are doing or what health services or even counseling services are being provided to their children in a school; setting."

Parents Defending Education director of outreach Erika Sanzi calls the Title IX decision "preposterous."

She says, "The notion that schools will not receive funding for student meals if they refuse to let biological males use the girl's bathroom and compete against girls in athletics is so preposterous, it sounds like parody."

It does.

It sounds like a fairy tale. Or a hardcore communist-run government.

It's about more than just meals for disadvantaged kids.

These Biden administration rule changes will tie billions of dollars in federal education funding to an array of LGBTQ policies---which in turn will force school districts and universities to implement these controversial rules.

“As a result, state and local agencies, program operators, and sponsors that receive funds from FNS must investigate allegations of discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation,” USDA said in a statement. “Those organizations must also update their non-discrimination policies and signage to include prohibitions against discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.”

This means that schools around the country will be forced to comply with a range of pro-transgender policies in things like sports, housing, locker rooms, and bathrooms if they want to continue receiving federal funds.

This is the culmination of President Biden on the day he took office.

Since then, the administration has been publicly advocating for these policies, but the expected formally published rule change later this year would codify that policy.

The President says, “Children should be able to learn without worrying about whether they will be denied access to the restroom, the locker room, or school sports'.”

Sarah Perry is a legal expert at the Heritage Foundation. She says the rule change will also remove recently added due process protections for students accused of sexual harassment and sexual assault, which could be particularly important if misgendering individuals is redefined to be included in the harassment category.

Not using the preferred pronoun of an individual could also land schools and universities in legal trouble under the Title IX changes.

Then there is the matter of free speech.

Sarah Perry says there is a third change this policy will invoke. Free speech.

She says nobody is saying it out loud because it does not appear in the written policies, but these actions by the president will essentially muzzle free speech.

"It will be essentially a muzzling of free speech for individuals who for example don’t toe the party line on gender identity and will be forced … to use an individual’s preferred pronouns or be faced potentially with Title IX sex discrimination charges,” she says.

“So it will not only require the adherence to these beliefs. It will force speech. It will compel speech in violation of the First Amendment, and we have yet to even examine fully the parameters of how that is going to play out in the courtroom."

Why is Biden committed to "having the backs" of transgenders, while casting the normal girls out to the beasts?

The president says he is "pushing toward equity and fairness."

He says, "A key step in advancing these principles is rooting out discrimination in any form---including discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity."

President Biden is in denial of science, and the God he claims to serve.

Among children who struggle with gender dysphoria, 80% to 95% of those who are allowed to mature naturally through puberty tend to resolve their dysphoria.

In contrast, those who undergo physical “transition” interventions, such as puberty blockers and other irreversible surgeries, often do not see any lasting benefits with regard to mental health. In fact, many patients experience permanent damage to their cardiovascular health, bone density, and reproductive functions.

Contrary to the science, the Equality Act will make physical “transition” interventions standard medical care for gender-dysphoric minors. Puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones could be offered at as young as 9 years old. After receiving these, minors could then undergo irreversible “top” or “bottom” surgery.

Ryan T. Anderson Ph.D. has written an excellent article on this subject---specifically directed to families dealing with these issues. I strongly recommend you read it. It's a 4-minute read.

Focus on the Family has published a biblically-based statement which I agree with, and again, strongly recommend you read.

Takeaway

Created in God's image and likeness, male and female, our sexuality is a gift from God that we offer back, in love, to Him. Transgenderism violates God's design.

Each of the two sexes is a glorious gift from God. Our sexuality is meant to be offered back to Him either in complementary unity with the opposite sex in the context of marriage for procreation and mutual delight or in celibacy for undivided devotion to Christ.

Not only do male and female together reflect the image of God, but their coming together in a marriage relationship to bring forth new life is used in Scripture as the deepest and most intimate analogy of God’s relationship with His people. Throughout both Testaments, God and His people are portrayed as husband and wife or as a groom and bride. The creation account found in Genesis lays out this gender-based, matrimonial picture and sets the stage for the final, eternal union of God and His people – of Christ and His bride – described in Revelation.
