"People Fear What They Don't Know": President Biden to "Transgender" Youth

President Joe Biden welcomed six progressive activists to the White House for the "Now This News" presidential forum. The woke news website forum featured Democrat-friendly topics such as gun legislation, abortion access, the "climate crisis," criminal legal reform, economic instability, and trans rights.

One of the interviewers was trans activist Dylan Mulvaney.

The president labeled every American who disagrees with the LGBTQ---especially the "transgender" movement as "fearful" because they're uninformed.

Actually, many of us are fearful and disgusted because we "are" informed.

Be informed, not misled.

Mulvaney – a biological male – begins the interview by saying, "Mr. President, this is my 221st day of publicly transitioning."

Biden – a self-proclaimed Catholic – responded, "God loves you."

The president holds these mini-forums with youth on some of the most controversial cultural issues.

Transgenderism seems to be one of Biden's most important issues. He's obsessed with it.

A story of personal "progress."

Mulvaney – who lives in Los Angeles, California – responded, "I am extremely privileged to live in a state that allows me access to the resources I need, and that decision is just between me and my doctors, but many states have lawmakers that feel like they can involve themselves in this very personal process. Do you think states should have a right to ban gender-affirming health care?"

Biden replied, "I don't think any state or anybody should have the right to do that as a moral question. As a legal question, I just think it's wrong."

"You know, I think I was saying before we started that, my son, my deceased son used to be the attorney general state of Delaware," Biden continued. "He passed the most the broadest piece of legislation."

Biden claimed that his late son Beau Biden was able to convince others to enact legislation that dealt with "gender-affirming capability."

Biden declared, "So I feel very, very strongly that that you(sic) should have every single solitary right including, including use of your gender identity bathrooms, but public."

A normal-thinking person would wonder if the girls who are forced to share their bathrooms and locker rooms with boys pretending to be girls have any "rights?"

Concern that society is blaming the cultural "downfall on non-binary people."

Mulvaney responded, "And it feels like Republicans have turned trans and non-binary people into this thing to blame society's downfall on in some ways. And this narrative is not only dangerous to our mental health, but also our physical safety, and particularly trans women of color are being murdered at an alarming rate."

Mulvaney, who took over the interview, then asked the president, "How can Democratic leaders be more effective in advocating for us trans people in our families in our lives and our opportunities?"

Biden responded, "I'm not being facetious when I say this but being seen with people like you. I mean, I genuinely mean it."

"People fear what they don't know," he continued. "They fear what they don't know."

Biden claimed that some states are participating in politics that are "outrageous" and "immoral."

Anyone who holds a different view than that of the activists is a "dangerous intrusion into medicine."

In a statement the AMA said this in part:

"The American Medical Association (AMA) today urged governors to oppose state legislation that would prohibit medically necessary gender transition-related care for minor patients, calling such efforts “a dangerous intrusion into the practice of medicine.”

In a letter to the National Governors Association (NGA), the AMA cited evidence that trans and non-binary gender identities are normal variations of human identity and expression, and that forgoing gender-affirming care can have tragic health consequences, both mental and physical."

These people who supposedly represent "science" and "medicine" are declaring transgenderism to be "normal." And anyone who disagrees is a "dangerous intrusion into the practice of medicine."

I suspect these people of science and medicine would label God as an intruder.

The Bible is abundantly clear that God created male and female in His image and His likeness. There are no variations in the Record.

Dysphoria needs to be treated, not celebrated. Science needs to follow facts, not pop culture. And the money.

Treating transgenderism has opened up an entirely new, significant cash flow opportunity for doctors without a conscience.

And it's opened up a new battlefield in the culture.

Transgender patients vs Religious doctors.

The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board published an article in August expressing concern over the intensity with which the transgender activists, President Biden included, and the doctors who agree with them are pushing transitioning among youth.

The journal said, "Progressives don't merely want to win the country's culture wars. They want to impose a Carthaginian peace."

And the Journal said this:

The latest evidence is a case involving the Franciscan Alliance that was heard a few weeks ago by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. The alliance is a Catholic hospital system, mostly in Indiana, founded by the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration. As the alliance argues in its brief, in 2016 the government interpreted ObamaCare’s nondiscrimination provisions “to require doctors and hospitals nationwide to perform and ensure gender-transition procedures and abortions or else be liable for ‘sex’ discrimination.”

Specifically, the feds read the law to require that services be offered on an equal basis. “If a gynecologist performs a hysterectomy for a woman with uterine cancer,” the alliance’s brief says, “she must do the same for a woman who wants to remove a healthy uterus to live as a man.”

The alliance could not comply as a matter of conscience and medical judgment. Neither could members of the Christian Medical and Dental Associations. They sued, citing the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) and with help from the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty.

A district court ruled in their favor. After an initial trip to the Fifth Circuit, they also won a permanent injunction. Yet instead of taking the loss, the Biden Administration is now appealing. The government argues that the alliance faces a merely “hypothetical” threat of enforcement, and it argues that RFRA claims must be evaluated case by case. But if religious doctors can’t raise a RFRA shield pre-emptively, they’ll practice under a constant government threat.

When asked if the feds could promise that the plaintiffs would not face prosecution  or enforcement action for refusing to offer gender reassignment surgeries or abortions, the Biden administration lawyer answered "No."

To repeat, the Biden administration reserves a right to punish religious doctors and hospitals for sex discrimination if they refuse to do abortions or transgender surgeries.

Takeaway.

To those who pompously claim to be Christian yet vote for this kind of leadership that puts the power of the United States government against anyone who holds a biblical worldview regarding human sexuality and the sanctity of life---"search your heart."

To the "Love Wins" crowd: This isn't love. It's moral and spiritual confusion. God is not the author of confusion. This movement is not of God. It defies nature and nature's God.

The  Wall Street Journal says, "This cultural clash isn't going away, and the country is in for more trouble."

They say, "The government's appeal shows a bloody-mindedness that is difficult to fathom."

Indeed it does.

The WSJ concludes that now we would like to hear, "Catholic President Biden's answer" to all this.

We've now heard it.

The next question must be, will we hear the people's response to this cultural confusion in the next presidential election?

And in the coming mid-term election?
