Fauci To America, "OOPS"

Alex Brandon wrote yesterday, "Have you ever been so angry you didn't have the words to really explain how angry you are? Yup, I'm that angry. I think this goes beyond being [ expletive]... again, not sure how to explain the rage I feel in the pit of my stomach reading about Fauci and how he 'made it all up' with masking and social distancing."

Brandon is more than a little heated up, but millions of Americans also now resent how Dr. Fauci misled our nation and the world.

Two things that actually ruined the lives of millions and millions of Americans.

And he can just walk away and say, "OOPS."

We now know why Senator (doctor) Rand Paul was so vigilant about the COVID-19 royalties flowing back to the "scientists."

Alert to Washington State: Danny Westneat, writing for the Seattle Times yesterday, says: "As it turns out, Washington has a law on the books against convicted felons running for office. He gleefully assures his readers Trump will not be on the November ballot in Washington."

Be informed, not misled.

RE Washington State.

Westneat claims the law was "first established back when Washington was a territory, in 1865, that anyone convicted of 'infamous crimes' could be blocked from holding elected office. That was modified in 1959, and then more recently, to the scheme we have today."

He says, "If local Republicans knew what was good for them, they would now move to drop Donald Trump from Washington's fall ballot."

Westneat says, "David Vogel, a Seattle attorney, claims to have clients lined up who are going to be all over pursuing a ballot challenge in this case."

I strongly encourage all Republican Washingtonians to read his entire article.

I'll be talking a little more about this on the radio today.

RE Dr. Fauci:

Alex Brandon wrote, "I know, I know, after everything we've been put through, nothing should be unbelievable but this is just so awful. So unforgivable."

"This should be illegal, even criminal."

The Daily Mail echoed his comments, "Bombshell testimony from Dr. Anthony Fauci reveals he made up the six-foot social distancing rule and other measures to 'protect' Americans from covid."

"Republicans put out the full transcript of their sit down interview with Fauci from January just days before his highly-anticipated public testimony on Monday."

They plan to grill him about covid restrictions he put in place, which he admitted didn't do much to 'slow the spread' of the virus.

Kids' learning loss and social setbacks have been well documented, with one National Institute of Health (NIH) study calling the impact of mask use on students' literacy and learning 'very negative.'

The "highly-anticipated public testimony happened yesterday.

More on that in a minute.

RE the money.

The New York Post headline reads, "NIH scientists made $710M in royalties from drug makers — a fact they tried to hide."

In the beginning, America believed Fauci knew what he was doing and that he had our country's best interests at heart.

He may have known what he was doing, but his heart was apparently somewhere else.

During the pandemic, the American people started to feel that Big Government was very cozy with Big Pharma.

Now we know just how close they were.

The Post article says, "New data from the National Institutes of Health reveal the agency and its scientists collected $710 million in royalties during the pandemic, from late 2021 through 2023. These are payments made by private companies, like pharmaceuticals, to license medical innovations from government scientists."

Writing in the Post, Adam Andrzejewski says,, "Almost all that cash—$690 million—went to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the subagency led by Dr. Anthony Fauci, and 260 of its scientists.

Information about this vast private royalty complex is tightly held by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). My organization, OpenTheBooks.com, was forced to sue to uncover the royalties paid from September 2009 to October 2021, which amounted to $325 million over 56,000 transactions.

"We had to sue a second time, with Judicial Watch as our counsel, to pry open this new release," he says.

They found that payments skyrocketed during the pandemic era: Those years saw more than double the cash flow to NIH from the private sector compared to the prior 12 combined. All told, it’s $1.036 billion.

It’s unclear if any of the COVID vaccine royalties from Pfizer and Moderna, the latter of which settled with NIH by agreeing to pay $400 million, is even included in these new numbers. NIH isn’t saying.

It's clear that Dr. Fauci has spent years scoffing at questions about potential conflicts of interest between COVID policymakers, who relentlessly pushed vaccines, and recipients of private royalties.

You may recall, as I do, the many times Senator Rand Paul, a doctor, asked Fauci about the "royalties."

He was never given a straight answer.

Sen. Paul has now sponsored the Royalty Transparency Act, which sailed through the committee process and deserves a floor vote immediately.

It’s a chance for Fauci to either come clean or further cement the public’s perception of him and the NIH as secretive and self-interested.

RE the hearing yesterday.

Cameras from around the world were watching and he was answering for information he gave in a sworn deposition earlier this year.

The New York Post published an overview of the questions and answers of the committee yesterday.

Marjorie Taylor Green's comments were probably the most reported of any in the hearing:

“Mr. Fauci, you were quoted on CBS ‘Face the Nation’ saying, ‘it’s easy to criticize, but they’re really criticizing science, because I represent science. Do you represent science, Mr. Fauci?” Greene asked.

Fauci declined to give a yes or no answer, leading to a clash, but he asserted he is a scientist.

Greene then mentioned how NIAID, under Fauci, directed $424,455 to researchers at the University of Georgia in September 2020 to infect dozens of beagles with disease-causing parasites to test an experimental drug on them, according to documents obtained by the White Coat Waste Project (WCW) and reviewed by the Daily Caller.

"I want to tell you this is disgusting and evil, what you signed off on and these experiments that happened to beagles paid for by the American taxpayer, and I want you to know Americans don’t pay their taxes for animals to be tortured like this, so this type of science that you are representing, Mr. Fauci, is abhorrent and it needs to stop,” Greene said.

“You’re not doctor you’re Mr. Fauci,” she added.

Takeaway

First, Washingtonians should be very aware of this move to remove Trump from the ballot.

Secondly, I'm not sure what this hearing will produce, but there was certainly more information given to the public than we've seen in the past.

Hopefully, the Committee will follow through and bring about some consequences.

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Engaged. Be Prayerful.
