Paid Olympic Athletes Slamming the U.S.

A British athlete has joined the growing list of highly-paid losers to attack the Trump administration for their dedication to removing dangerous criminals from the United States. This one took things multiple steps further by urinating (“expletive") ICE into the snow.

Homosexual British-American Olympic Skier Gus Kenworthy posted a urinated “F*** ICE” message on his Instagram, encouraging followers to “speak up against ICE” for “murdering innocent people.”

After defecting from Team USA, he’ll compete for Team Great Britain.

Did you know the Olympic athletes are paid?

Be informed, not misled.

It's not just the British-American kid. There are others.

Eric Daugherty posted this on X:

JUST IN: Team USA Olympic Skier Hunter Hess is being slammed for bringing TDS to the Olympics

“Just because I wear the flag doesn't mean I represent everything that's going on in the U.S.”

Shut up, represent your country, and win.

Daugherty then posted this:

JUST IN: Many Americans are calling on Team USA athletes to be SENT HOME from the Winter Olympics in Italy if they trash America on the world stage

"I'm here to represent inclusivity and diversity!"

It's simple. Say: "I love America and am proud to represent my nation."

A number of other athletes have also spoken out against their country, with the Miracle on Ice legend Mike Eruzione bashing them for choosing to personally represent themselves or their families rather than the United States. Eruzione did go on to delete the post, however.

Town Hall says, "The U.S. is paying out $37,500 per gold medal, so keep in mind how much these people could be making while bashing the country cutting them thousands in checks. The amounts they're making in endorsement deals and media hits can't be calculated, but it is all built off of the back of the American flag and those who want to watch their countrymen excel. Where is the gratitude for that? Why is it impossible to be at least a bit diplomatic and to show some decorum when representing your country?"

"Only in the United States can you invest millions into developing these athletes, promote them as heroes to the nation's children, and care for their every need, just to have them turn around and trash the very people who formed them for a few more minutes of air time on European television," they say.

President Trump doesn't think bashing America is a good idea.

Neither do I. Nor do many others like myself.

Hess’s remarks drew sharp criticism from folks on the right — including President Donald Trump.

During a press conference, a reporter asked Hess how he felt representing America at the Olympics as the White House pursues its aggressive mass deportation efforts. He said, “It brings up mixed emotions to represent the U.S. right now,” and “there’s obviously a lot going on that I’m not the biggest fan of, and I think a lot of people aren’t.”

Hess went on to state that, for him, competing is more about “representing my friends and family back home, the people that requested it before me, all the things that I believe are good about the U.S.”

He concluded by arguing, “Just because I’m wearing the flag doesn’t mean I represent everything that’s going on in the U.S.”

I don't think anyone agrees with everything that goes on in the US.

Trump was not happy with Mr. Hess in a Sunday post on Truth Social. “U.S. Olympic Skier, Hunter Hess, a real Loser, says he doesn’t represent his Country in the current Winter Olympics,” the president wrote. “If that’s the case, he shouldn’t have tried out for the Team, and it’s too bad he’s on it. Very hard to root for someone like this. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) defended Hess and criticized Trump’s response. It shows that he expects Americans to “bow down” to him, Bernie claimed. And he called the skier “a proud American” who has every right to criticize the government.

And then there's the money.

RE the money.

As I mentioned earlier, these athletes are getting paid $37,500 per Gold Medal. Then there's all the money they make from public appearances, endorsements, and other sources.

I don't have a problem with people making money from their labor. That's the American way. It's also the biblical way.

But after all the benefits and opportunities, do they need to stand on a global platform and bash our country?

Kiplinger says "Unlike almost every other major nation, the U.S. government does not fund its Olympic athletes, let alone their retirement accounts. Most Team USA members live below the poverty line while training, relying on side hustles or "mom and dad" to survive. Starting with the upcoming Milan Cortina Olympics, Ross Stevens, Founder and CEO of Stone Ridge Holdings Group, will give $200,000 to every U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athlete — even if they don’t win a medal.

He has given $100,000,000 dollars to fund this part of the athletes' compensation at least through the 2032 Games.

Takeaway

Only in the United States can you invest millions into developing these athletes, promote them as heroes to the nation's children, and care for their every need, just to have them turn around and trash the very people who formed them for a few more minutes of airtime on European television.

Why are people so ungrateful nowadays?

A sense of entitlement is a significant contributor to ungrateful behaviour. When individuals feel they deserve something solely based on their existence or self-perceived worth, they often neglect the effort and goodwill others put into providing it.

Consider this:

The Bible warns that unthankfulness is a sign of perilous times and spiritual decay, often linking it to pride and a lack of love for God. Key passages include 2 Timothy 3:2, which lists "unthankful" among vices in the last days, and Romans 1:21, noting that failing to be thankful leads to darkened hearts.

  • 2 Timothy 3:1-2: "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy."
  • Romans 1:21: "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened".

And then there is this:

  • Proverbs 17:13: "Whoso rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house".

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Grateful. Be Prayerful. Be Blessed.
