Tony Perkins, president of Family Research Council and executive editor of The Washington Stand, said this yesterday in an article: "There’s something different about this June. There are fewer rainbows. No, I’m not talking about the sign of God’s covenant that appears in the sky after a storm. I’m talking about the rainbow flag that has become the symbol of Pride Month."
Have you noticed?
I have.
He's right.
Be informed, not misled.
He continues: "For years, June brought a predictable wave of corporate logos, advertising campaigns, themed merchandise, and public celebrations. Parents learned to pay closer attention to commercials in family programming, sports fans grew accustomed to Pride-themed uniforms and promotions, and many city streets became venues for often indecent displays at Pride parades."
"This year is noticeably different. The symbols are not gone, but they are far less prominent. It’s premature to say Pride has fallen, but it is fair to say the appeal of Pride Month has faded," he notes.
Corporations are rethinking their public affiliation with a cultural agenda that, according to a Gallup poll released this week, is losing support among Americans.
The Obama-Biden era push to promote transgenderism among children, while limiting treatment options to experimental drugs and surgeries, has prompted many Americans to reconsider the movement’s underlying motives.
Suzanne Bowdey wrote the following in The Stand last week:
The last three years have been a humbling experience for Pride. What was once an over-the-top rainbow blow-out has been dialed back a stunning degree, thanks to the colossal wave of public pushback. It’s been a sucker-punch for LGBT activists, who’ve been dumbfounded by the complete reversal of fortunes. Corporate sponsorships have dried up, local organizations are filing Chapter 11, red states are going on the offensive with June alternatives, and Republican support for same-sex marriage is in a dizzying freefall.
In one of the most dramatic sea changes, millions of Americans are walking away from what Obergefell unleashed on the nation in 2015. According to the latest Gallup poll, just released Wednesday, only 37% of Republicans now say same-sex marriage should be legal — a whopping 18-point drop since 2022 (55%). While Democrats still strongly back the redefinition of marriage at 87%, skeptical Independents and the GOP are driving the country’s numbers down to 65% support overall, 6% lower than 2022 and 2023. In at least 11 states, legislators have even introduced bills to roll back same-sex marriage.
While the buyer’s remorse on Obergefell may be the most striking, what the nation is witnessing with this sustained pushback on Pride may be permanently changing the corporate, state, and political landscape. In a lot of major cities — places like New York, Salt Lake, Louisville, St. Louis, Orlando, and Pittsburgh — event organizers are struggling to find the funding to get by. NYC Pride, the largest parade in America, told The Wall Street Journal that it had to cancel some of its parties and slash spending after last year’s wake-up call when longtime partners just vanished.
It isn't just the demise of the "Pride" movement that touches the heart of the normal person. Look what is stepping into the void.
I mentioned this last week, but let's take a closer look.
CBN is reporting this: "Republican governors across the US are offering Biblically framed alternatives to June LGBTQ Pride Month celebrations, in turn celebrating God's design for families."
Red states are using the opportunity to promote a variety of messages. For example, some are seeking to protect unborn life as a necessary step to support the nuclear family.
- Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt posted on social media, "God authors every life. As image bearers, there is inherent dignity and value in every human life. That's why Oklahoma is proud to declare June as Life Month."
- As we mentioned on the radio last week, "Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee rebranded June as Nuclear Family Month, celebrating God's family structure of 'one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children."
- Indiana Gov. Mike Braun echoed that effort with a Nuclear Family Month for his state, too. "As we approach America's 250th anniversary, this proclamation recognizes the important role families play in shaping the future of our state and our country," he wrote: "Today, I proclaimed June as Nuclear Family Month in Indiana.
As a father of four and grandfather of seven, I have seen firsthand the impact that loving, committed families can have across multiple generations. As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, this proclamation recognizes the important role families play in shaping the future of our state and our country.
Indiana will continue supporting policies that strengthen families and help the next generation thrive.
- For Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey, the fathers of that structure are "the head of the household," and "homes led by a father and mother provide children with the structure and discipline necessary to succeed throughout life." So, to coincide with Father's Day, the Alabama governor is celebrating Strong Families Month.
While Family, Nuclear Family, and Strong Families Month define and celebrate God's family structure, proposals for Fidelity Month call Americans to not just celebrate these values, but to "rededicate the United States to the values of faith, family, and patriotism."
Takeaway
Utah, Arkansas, and at least four other GOP-controlled states support legislation to recognize June as Fidelity Month.
While June is now becoming a platform for biblical family values, it began gaining momentum last year when the Education Department used the month to acknowledge God's design for the male and female genders.
The department declared June Title IX Month, advocating for female students' safety from harmful transgender policies that allowed biological men to use women's bathrooms or locker rooms.
Also in 2025, U.S. Rep. Mary Miller denounced Pride Month and proposed a resolution to make June Family Month, saying, "Americans are inundated with perverse Pride Month displays and events throughout the month of June that denigrate the nuclear family."
As conservative leaders reject Pride Month and replace it with Biblical values, some conservatives say they're "reclaiming the culture" as more and more view state measures as an opportunity for a cultural reset.
- 2 Chronicles 16:9: "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him."
- Psalm 22:28: "For the kingdom is the LORD's: and he is the governor among the nations."
