Former ABC Correspondent Admits Bias Against Trump

A former broadcast network reporter is admitting the mainstream media is biased against President Donald Trump and conservatives.

Most of us have already noticed that.

There was no love lost between President Trump and Terry Moran when the latter was a correspondent for ABC News. A good example is Moran's interview with Trump for ABC about the president’s first 100 days.

In a confused world, many are asking, "What is Truth?"

Be informed, not misled.

Moran asked Trump if he had 100% confidence in Pete Hegseth as defense secretary, Trump said he doesn’t have 100% confidence in anything, including finishing the interview.

Another moment was when Moran asked Trump if he trusted Vladimir Putin.

Trump: “I don't trust a lot of people. I don't trust you. Look at you, you come in all shooting for bear, you're so happy to do the interview —"

Moran: “I am happy.”

Trump: “— and then you start hitting me with fake questions… You're being dishonest.”

Moran was let go from ABC in 2025 after 28 years there because of his social media posts about Trump and a White House deputy chief of staff.

NPR reported: ABC News dropped veteran correspondent and anchor Terry Moran on Tuesday after he had posted on social media that President Trump and a senior White House official were "world-class" haters.

"We are at the end of our agreement with Terry Moran and based on his recent post — which was a clear violation of ABC News policies — we have made the decision to not renew," the network said in a statement released by a spokesperson. "At ABC News, we hold all of our reporters to the highest standards of objectivity, fairness and professionalism, and we remain committed to delivering straightforward, trusted journalism." (Moran did not respond to NPR's requests for comment.)

But now, in an interview with Podcaster Michael Moynihan, Fox News reports that Moran admitted that ABC had it in for the president.

Moynihan: “Is ABC News a liberal institution?”

Moran: “Yes, but I think, like a lot of mainstream media, it's because of a lack of viewpoint diversity. That was one of the problems in covering Trump. Nobody had voted for him.”

Dan Schneider, vice president for free speech at the Media Research Center, says ABC News is among the most biased networks on the air, as evidenced by the spin it put on the 2024 presidential campaign leading up to a debate that Moran moderated.

“The one month prior to the debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, it was 100% positive coverage for Kamala Harris, 93% negative coverage for Donald Trump,” Schneider says.

Bozell told Fox News Digital that Moran spent years criticizing Trump, and rejected Moran being an "innocent observer of the bias."

"Terry Moran spent years proving ABC News is a liberal institution, including smearing Trump as a ‘Führer," Bozell said.

"Now he admits the newsroom has zero pro-MAGA journalists and lives in a media bubble. Spare us the newfound candor. Moran was not an innocent observer of the bias he now acknowledges. He was one of its most enthusiastic practitioners," Bozell said.

Schneider notes that CBS News is moving toward the center of the political spectrum thanks to Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss and owner David Ellison. NBC News is no fan of conservatives or the president, but he says they're still fairer than ABC.

“What we do know for certain is that ABC is the most radical of these big three broadcasters,” Schneider says.

Takeaway

With the media now accessible to most people worldwide, the search for Truth has become more confusing for many.

Jesus said, "I am the Truth..."

The Bible anchors ultimate truth in the character of God, providing a blueprint to navigate deception through spiritual discernment and knowledge of His word.

  • Study Scripture: Treat the Bible, the infallible Word of God, as your baseline truth to measure all other claims (2 Timothy 3:16).
  • Look to Christ: Evaluate worldly philosophies against the character, life, and teaching of Jesus (John 14:6).
  • Seek wisdom: Pray specifically for discernment to see past illusions (James 1:5).
  • Test the Information, Check the fruits: Judge teachers and ideas by their long-term outcomes, not their smooth words (Matthew 7:16).
  • Verify with witnesses: Confirm important facts through reliable sources (Deuteronomy 19:15).

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Engaged. Be Grateful. Be Prayerful.
