The Enemy Within

In his oft-repeated speech in the Roman Senate, Cicero, in 42 B.C., spoke these words: 

"A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banners openly. But the traitor moves among those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor - he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and garments, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation - he works secretly and alone in the night to undermine the pillars of a city - he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared."

Marcus Tullius Cicero was murdered on December 7, 43 BC, on the orders of Mark Antony. After a period of political turmoil following Julius Caesar's assassination, Cicero's opposition to Antony led to his execution, in which a centurion killed him and displayed his severed head and hands in the Roman Forum.

Cicero's death marked a turning point in the power struggle of the late Roman Republic.

You probably don't hate Muslims, but be assured that practicing Muslims hate you because you are not one of them. And Islam teaches violence as a way to be faithful to the Quran. 

Convert them or kill them is the message.

Thankfully, the struggle here in our country is still being carried out in politics. But make no mistake, there is an internal war in our nation that is a spiritual war, and it exceeds mere politics.

Mohamed Soltan is the President of the American Committee for Middle East Rights (ACMER) and an Egyptian American activist who was sentenced in absentia to life in prison by a Cairo court for supporting the Muslim Brotherhood. Egypt declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization years ago, following uprisings in the country and the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak. Earlier this year, Egypt also hailed the U.S. decision to designate the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt a terrorist organization, too.

In 2015, Soltan was sentenced to life in prison following two years of imprisonment. In May of that year, Soltan was released at the request of President Obama and returned to the U.S., where he works as an international investment advisor and "human rights activist."

But now we're learning that ACMER has been funneling money to Abdul El-Sayed's Senate campaign, too, further solidifying the ties between El-Sayed and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Federal Election Commission reports show ACMER sent Fighting for Michigan PAC $25,000 on June 12, following two contributions from Mohamed Soltan to Abdul for U.S. Senate on April 15.

The individual contribution constitutes the maximum permitted by federal election law.

Other ACMER officials also contributed to El-Sayed’s effort to become the first Muslim Senator in U.S. history.

ACMER Treasurer Muna Jondy contributed $15,000 to Fighting for Michigan PAC on June 7, and $7,000 to Abdul for U.S. Senate on June 24, while ACMER Executive Director Kristina Blyad gave $1,000 to Abdul for U.S. Senate on February 13.

Blyad also serves as treasurer for ACMER’s Separate Segregated Fund, MERIT PAC, which contributed $1,500 to Abdul for U.S. Senate on June 3.

The donations follow a documented history of El-Sayed supporting the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

El-Sayed has supported the Muslim Brotherhood for years. In 2011, he wrote a column for the Huffington Post urging Americans to support the protesters in Egypt. El-Sayed said the Muslim Brotherhood's takeover of Egypt didn't necessarily mean the nation would look like the Islamic theocracy of Iran, noting a more moderate form of Islam because they are Sunni Muslims.

Mubarak resigned just weeks after El-Sayed's column was published, laying the groundwork for the Muslim Brotherhood-backed Mohamed Morsi to become president in June 2012.

Mohamed Soltan isn't the only figure with terror ties to back El-Sayed's far-left campaign. Iraqi-American activist Anas Shallal held a fundraiser for El-Sayed in April, and Shallal supports Cuba and its late communist leader Fidel Castro, the Free Palestine movement, and NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

Mohammad Ali Elahi leads the Islamic House of Wisdom in Dearborn Heights, one of Michigan's largest mosques. Ali Elahi contributed to El-Sayed's campaign and held memorial services for Ayatollah Khamenei after he died in strikes back in February. That's why El-Sayed's campaign refused to comment on Khamenei's death.

Following his primary win over Haley Stevens, the Muslim Brotherhood celebrated with an article titled "Abdul Rahman al-Sayyid conquers the Zionists and runs for the Senate" on their official website. We also learned El-Sayed likes radical Islamic author Dr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips. He's an unindicted co-conspirator of the 1993 World Trade Center bombings, and an apologist for Islamic terrorism and child marriage.

Sen. Ted Cruz also laid out El-Sayed's ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in a Senate hearing. And Townhall reported on El-Sayed's mother, Fatten Fathy Elkomy, who worked for the Islamic American Relief Agency (IARA), which was designated a terrorist organization in 2004 and has ties to Hamas, the Taliban, and al Qaeda.

This isn't just a coincidence. It's a pattern. Terrorist groups and affiliated organizations have a vested interest in getting Abdul El-Sayed elected to the U.S. Senate, and Michigan voters should know exactly who they'd be sending to D.C. should he win in November.

Religious Deception

El-Sayed is trying to win over voters by comparing himself to Jesus.

According to RNC Research, El-Sayed said: "Jesus...was considered radical in his time too, and there is a radical nature to being willing to stand forthright in a time of corruption.”

Note: Jesus was not a radical. He was the Messiah. God in the flesh.

Takeaway

While the rapid, exponential growth of Islam is a fascinating subject both historically and geopolitically, it is a tragedy spiritually.

Followers of Islam are characterized by passion, zeal, and total devotion to their god, but their god offers them no assurance of salvation or forgiveness of sin. The only type of Muslim who is guaranteed a place in paradise is a jihadist, someone who dies in a holy war against the enemies of Allah. Even Muhammad, the founding prophet of this faith, said: “Although I am an apostle of Allah, I do not know what Allah will do to me.”

It is a hopeless faith.
