Visions Of Sugar Plumbs

While a majority of Americans oppose Obama's health care plan---for a variety of reasons, there are those who see it as a gift. A miracle from Pennsylvania Avenue.

As these folks tuck themselves into the blankets of a new world socialism, there is ---well, visions of sugar plumbs dancing in their heads.

Senator Dodd, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, is facing a very tough re-election bid next year. But not to worry. He gets a $100,000 million for a new hospital for the folks in his district. That should salvage a few votes.

A number of other well documented gifts have been spread around in the purchasing of the politicians.

However, everyone isn't into sugar plumbs this Christmas.

Senator Ben Nelson got his sugar plumb from Harry Reid and thought he had hit a home run, until he checked with the people he supposedly serves in Nebraska.

They are not doing sugar plumbs this year.

There is much more than a clatter on the roof----the people are through the roof mad.

His phone lines are jammed and while attending a public gathering in Omaha last weekend, he got an earful. And the message wasn't "Happy New Year."

Nelson says he feels like he went home and was "bit by the family dog."

Indeed.

Perhaps other elected officials who have drifted into the brave new world of dismantling America and redistributing the wealth will get "bite" in 2010 as well.

Or, will rethink their core values.

Rep. Parker Griffith, D-AL, a medical doctor, has done just that and announced this week he is quitting the Democratic Party and joining the Republicans. He says his core values don't match with theirs.

He said, "I want to make it perfectly clear that his bill is bad for doctors, our patients and will have unintended consequences far beyond what we know today."

Yes it will.

There are a number of great candidates stepping forward in Washington State this coming 2010 election. As we move into the new year, we will be working with them and encouraging you to do so as well.

God bless you.

  1. Once again Gary shows that the only "faith" behind the faith and freedom network is blind faith in the failed ideas of the Republican party. How sad that so many are fooled by this partisan in pastor's clothing!

  2. Senator Nelson of Florida grabbed the largest sugar plum. While elderly Americans in every state will be paying higher prices for decreased services through Ameriadvantage, Floridians will be exempt from the Obamacare changes, a sugar plum worth a cool. 30 BILLION dollars. Wonder if the people in Florida will be gracious enough to Washington State taxpayers a thank-you card?

  3. It should become clear to all Americans that God is not for this health care thing which they have purposed to do, for why is there so much evil for it?

If God were for it, wouldn't we see evil against it?

  4. The problem of affordable health care has been with us for 40 years +. The Republicans because their paranoidle fear has been able to stop any kind of health bill.

Any bill that we get now
that becomes law will be a win for all the citizens in the United State. It will move the United States into the world of civilized countries that follow the teachings of Christ and not the fear and ignorance of the dark ages.

  5. Shouldn't we expect the president to shame such political practices
as much as he would a greedy banker who would take advantage of the taxpayer's bail out? How easily an inheritance can be lost. Only through repentance can a man get back anything.

  6. Um...fyi commenters...there are 2 Senator Nelsons in the U.S. Senate. One from Florida and the other from Nebraska. The one Gary is talking about is from Nebraska.....so a thank you from Florida would be a bit odd.

I for one don't like a few things in the health care bills passed in Congress but there are quite a few things in them that are long overdo. I'll tolerate some of the extra stuff because not doing something is negligent in my mind.

  7. Isaiah 9:5-7
For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

  9. Those in power in Washington,DC including Patty Murray, Maria Cantwell, and Rick Larsen are part of one of the most diabolical social engineering schemes in history. The Obama administration, in cahoots with the Democratically controlled congress wants to eradicate the elderly, and the babyboomers, because they can't afford to pay what they owe them due to excessive spending. They will also cleanse our society of the unwanted unborn. The elderly, and babyboomers are the largest sector of our population who will resist their socialist take over of a country, millions shed blood and died for protecting our constitutional freedoms. Now, Obama being the trans-nationalist he is wants to give our country back to those we broke away from in the Revolution. Call me a crazy old paranoid coot if you want, but I look at the big picture, and think for myself.
