Progressive Media Defines Pence, Platform and Party

Mike Pence is speaking tonight at the Republican Convention.

In advance, the secular progressive media in America are busy defining vice presidential candidate Pence, hoping to influence a public who is just getting to know him.

The "enlightened" progressive press is saying "You may recognize him as the governor who inspected your productive organs every 30 days to make sure you weren't using them in a way that would make Jesus sad."---That's a quote.

The Platform, some are  saying, was created by cranky church elders in a hot room asking one another, "Who should go to hell?"

The Platform itself, they say, is "the Republican Party's suicide note."

And by the way MSNBC reports , "Mike Pence is a bigot."

I'm encouraged.

Yesterday afternoon, the GOP Convention made it official. Trump is the candidate.

Therefore Gov. Mike Pence is the official VP candidate.

The media is in full attack mode in their attempt to politically discredit, denounce and destroy Governor Mike Pence---the VP candidate.

NBC's Chris Matthews on MSNBC is already questioning Pence because of his faith in Jesus Christ.

On July 12, Matthews said of Mike Pence, "It's clear that he wants it. It's clear that he thinks it's his...Can he [Trump] put up with a churchy guy like Pence? Pence is so churchy. I mean, the only thing about Donald Trump, he can say all he wants about religion, he ain't churchy. That's one thing he's not."

CNN has republished comments made about Governor Pence in 2015. "You get a sense of the bunker mentality that's going on right now among social conservatives..." as they reported on the religious freedom fight in the state of Indiana----comparing Pence to George Wallace.

NBC's MSNBC on April 1, 2015. Mika Brzezinski on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" said Gov. Pence "sounds like" and "looks like" a bigot.

People Magazine quoting Hillary Clinton and Miley Cyrus who is campaigning with Hillary, furthered the label of bigot on Mike Pence. Referring to Pence, Miley Cyrus said politics is "the only place that has more idiots than Instagram."

Nancy Armour, writing for USA Today, said we should put Pence and his "lunatic fringe" in exile.

Are you still praying about whether you should vote for Hillary?

It was the new, highly touted TBS show "Full Frontal" that turns on the lights to the true thinking of the secular progressives.

The host Samantha Bee, this week, mocked those who put together the GOP Platform, comparing them to the Westboro Baptist Church, reading the "church's" signature statement that says "God hates Fags."

She said, "Now, of course, before a convention can start, the party has to decide what they believe, which they apparently do by locking a bunch of cranky church elders in a room, turning off the air conditioning and asking them who should go to hell?"

Regarding Mike Pence for Vice President, she says remember this: "A state known primarily for its stupid time zones, it's 10:30 in Indianapolis, 9:30 in Gary and 1952 everywhere thanks to Pence. If you're a Lady Hoosier, you may recognize him as the governor who inspected your productive organs every 30 days to make sure you weren't using them in a way that would make Jesus sad."

Jesus is sad as he looks at a culture that is dying---already dead in some respects.

A culture that shakes its fist in the face of God--the God who has blessed this great country in ways that no other country in the history of the world has been blessed, would cause many to be sad and weep.

I suspect that Jesus, as He did when told that His friend Lazarus had died, weeps over current conditions in a country that claims to be "Under God," while some work tirelessly to eliminate God.

Important truth can be taken from the events surrounding Jesus' raising of Lazarus from the dead (John 11).

Mary's reaction was, "Lord, if only You had been here sooner, my brother would not have died."

She had accepted the inevitable---it was too late.

I'm sure others shared her regret and certainty that it was too late, while still others had likely concluded the reason Lazarus had died. Why God had allowed a good man to die prematurely.

All were experiencing the finality of Lazarus' death.

Jesus weeps over the loss but asks to be taken to the tomb.

With a "loud voice," Jesus says, "Lazarus come forth."

Lazarus responds. He comes to life and walks out of the grave.

The Bible describes it like this: (v 44), "And he who died came out bound hand and foot with grave cloth, Jesus said to them 'Loose him, let him go'."

Jesus performed the miracle but called on His followers to unbind and release him.

Those who knew and followed Jesus were called upon to participate in the miracle.

Don't write off America just yet. America isn't over until God says it's over.

This election may well be a "loose him, let him go" kind of event for this country.

One thing I am absolutely certain of, God's ways are higher than our ways. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts.

Therefore, God is acting and God is thinking---and we are called to be obedient.

Be Faithful. Be Prayerful. Be Vigilant. Be Active.
