"PP" New Scarlet Letters in Business World
Bryan Fischer says, "The new scarlet letters in the business world are 'PP'."
While the business world is running away from Planned Parenthood, releasing statements affirming they "do not" or "never have" contributed to Planned Parenthood, the youth of America are running toward the issue.
Young people throughout America are holding rallies today calling for action against Planned Parenthood.
In this moment, righteousness can prevail, if...
Bryan Fischer, whom I consider a friend, tells his radio audience each morning, with God's help "We are fighting a winnable war."
"And," he says, "look no further than corporate America for confirmation of that assertion. One major company after another is getting as far away as they can from Planned Parenthood and its ghoulish practice of cannibalizing unborn babies."
The Heritage Foundation published a list of 41 corporate sponsors named as supporters and donors by Planned Parenthood.
Following the Heritage Foundation release, and the reports of barbarism on the part of Planned Parenthood, 3 corporations-- Coca-Cola, Ford, and Xerox all contacted PP and asked that their names be removed from the "donor list."
By the weekend, the additional 38 had asked their names also be removed.
In addition, many of these corporations put out their own statement disavowing their support of PP.
Coke said they do not contribute to Planned Parenthood, nor do they offer employee contributions to the organization.
Ford said, "We are making sure that Ford Motor Company is not listed as a Planned Parenthood contributor on their web site. In addition, we do not offer an employee match for charitable contributions."
Xerox says, "We checked our files for the last 20 years and have no record of Xerox Corp. contributing to Planned Parenthood."
Heritage also received these kinds of responses:
March of Dimes: "To set the record straight, the March of Dimes does not have a relationship with Planned Parenthood. Additionally, the March of Dimes does not promote or fund abortion services, nor may foundation funds be used for directive counseling regarding abortion."
Avon: "Avon does not make any direct donations or grants to Planned Parenthood."
The American Cancer Society: "The American Cancer Society does not fund grants to Planned Parenthood affiliates...The American Cancer Society does not fund---nor has it ever funded..."
There's more. You can review it at the link above.
My point is not that these corporations are now not contributing to Planned Parenthood. The way in which they frame their denials---the words used, suggest they probably are in fact giving in some way, indirectly to Planned Parenthood.
The point is the speed with which they addressed the issue, not wanting to be branded with what Fischer is calling the "scarlet letters" of "PP."
Youth across America are rallying today. Students for Life is sponsoring "Women Betrayed" rallies promoting the rallies on social media with #WomenBtrayed, while the their banner reads, "Women betrayed for a Lamborghini."
Rallies are planned in at least 50 cities as of last night. Cities are listed in the link above.
Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life, says, "Women are supposed to help and support other women---not use them for profit and sell the body parts of their prenatal children."
"The outrage against taxpayer dollars funding Planned Parenthood is palpable," she says.
Indeed it is.
A few days ago, Hawkins said, "This is the time to defund them and Americans are going to make their voices heard on July 28th."
Pray for these kids today. May God use them for the work of His Kingdom.
The Republicans in the Washington State Legislature deeply disappointed pro-life Christians and conservatives by approving a state budget that contains over $50 million for Planned Parenthood.
Only 7 Republican elected officials kept their word and refused to vote for Planned Parenthood funding.
I have previously listed the names of the 7.
The US Congress will soon be faced with passing another federal budget. That budget will include more than a half billion dollars for Planned Parenthood---unless---unless you and I, together with God, turn the tide.
Our part is to contact our US Representatives and Senators and ask them "not to approve a budget that includes funding for Planned Parenthood."
Secondly, and still our part, act on God's promise: "If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways..." That's our part of the equation.
Here is God's part: "Then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land" (II Chronicles 7:14).
God keeps His promises.
Remember Gideon was greatly out numbered by the enemy. And in the end, God used his faithfulness in standing for righteousness to defeat the enemy---not his military ability, because he didn't have any military ability.
But he had the faith and courage to "stand."
Be Courageous. Be Humble. Be Prayerful. And see the "land healed."
