A documentary filmmaker says he is hard at work exposing the growing influence of radical far-left activism in evangelical congregations.
The far Left goal in politics has always been to move our government toward socialism, an active move is also underway to move Christian churches---particularly evangelical churches, leftward as well.
Be informed.
The enemy within---the church.
Documentary filmmaker Trevor Louden recently told Sandy Rios on her "Sandy Rios in the Morning" radio show that when he saw the 2016 film "Enemy Within" about communism's influence in American politics, it opened his eyes to the threat of how communism has managed to influence people by hijacking movements.
He said, "I've studied how the Left operates through the peace movement, through Black Lives Matter movement, through the women's movement, through the labor movement, and they use the same methodology in the churches."
In reporting this story, One News Now notes that Louden says: "The far-Left goal in politics has always been to move government toward socialism and eventually communism, and a similar goal is now underway to move churches leftwards, too."
"Over time," he warns, "that leftward drift affects the voting base inside those conservative churches, which is the ultimate goal of the far-left provocateurs."
He says in many cases with evangelical churches, the gospel message is still being preached, but it's "what they add on that is the problem."
I agree, but have also personally noticed that certain distinctives of biblical evangelicalism are marginalized into silence in these same churches that are "adding on" things.
Example. In the name of compassion and an expressed "desire to reach them for Jesus," homosexual behavior---a behavior that the Bible clearly condemns--- is in best case ignored and too many cases celebrated in a growing number of evangelical churches.
The Bible is clear why God denounces the behavior. It is personally destructive, not normal to God's creation of male and female, and strikes at the heart of God's model for marriage and the sustainability of the human race.
Some churches, in the name of inclusion and acceptance and love, have dropped the teaching that Jesus is the only way to God (John 14:6 ), even though it is Jesus Himself who teaches that Truth.
The Truth is substituted with this "add-on"---It's important that you believe in God, and there are many paths that lead to God, Jesus is certainly one of them, but not the only path, because that would be discriminating toward other religions. And the Bible teaches us not to discriminate.
I have personally heard both Oprah and Barack Obama make that statement. I've also heard it said in so-called evangelical churches. And I've heard the silence regarding this exclusive claim of Christianity.
Louden says: "That is why church members are hearing more about social justice and 'white privilege', warnings from the pulpit about global warming and a fragile planet, and sympathy for illegal immigrants and refugees attempting to enter the United States."
And speaking of global warming, the Pope recently highlighted what he considers as the two main threats to humanity; "the immense crises" of global warming and "the possibility of nuclear war."
He is calling man-caused climate change a "sin," giving four perverse attitudes that deny solutions to the problem. Number one perverse attitude is "denial of the global warming activist's claims," even though much science does not confirm the activist's claims.
Louden names some who are included in his upcoming film.
He says one organization that drifted Left in recent years is World Vision. A second one is CRU, formerly known as Campus Crusade For Christ.
He's right. I've had personal connections to both.
In 2014, I wrote about World Vision's drift leftward. I mentioned that I am aware that World Vision employs many in the Seattle area and that our home here in the Northwest provides millions of dollars of donations to World Vision in additions to the hundreds of millions of dollars from elsewhere.
I knew the founder of World Vision, Bob Pierce. I personally know that World Vision was founded out of an intense passion to minister to the needs of people around the world, in the name of Jesus Christ---who is the only way to God and eternal life.
Bob began his ministry with Youth for Christ. From that gospel message, shared by Billy Graham and others, Bob caught a vision of how he could meet people's needs, then share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them.
I know that Bob, in his passion to share the gospel, neglected spending time with his family. I have met and interviewed his daughter, Marilee, on my television program in the past.
I also know that when the board of World Vision made the decision to push Bob out of the organization he founded, it had a lot to do with beliefs.
I also knew the late Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade for Christ---now renamed CRU. Marjorie and I participated as speakers at some of Campus Crusade's outreaches to pro-athletes at Arrowhead Springs and elsewhere.
Louden is right. CRU has moved Left. Employees at CRU are telling him there is soon to be a mass exodus of Bible-believing employees from the organization.
Louden also mentions Jim Wallis, founder of Sojourners organization, as a leftward ministry. Personally, I'm not sure Wallis was ever that much "right" from the beginning. I have also written about the leftist views of Wallis, and the fact that he, Tony Campolo, and others are preaching a left-wing social gospel in churches across the country, raising millions of dollars, including from far-Left globalist billionaire George Soros.
We have been writing about Wallis' "other message" gospel in the churches since 2011. If you are not aware, these articles provide facts and sources

Louden also mentions that the controversial Southern Baptist head of their Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC), Russell Moore, has drifted to the Left.
Louden says, "Moore has caused problems within the conservative evangelical denomination, such as ridiculing Southern Baptists who voted for Donald Trump, among other questionable decisions."
In his upcoming documentary, Louden describes how Moore attended a "strategy session" with leaders from the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the largest homosexual advocacy organization in our country.
While Moore presented himself as someone wishing to have a conversation about the differences of beliefs, it has become clear that Moore met with them as an ally, not a Southern Baptist official hoping to exchange views.
The filmmakers also say that influential pastor, Tim Keller, is "flirting with far-left activism" too.
Louden says, "This is pretty sinister and pretty deep. This isn't a bunch of liberals who had taken over some churches. This is an organized Marxist program to pervert and corrupt American Christianity."
The Truth.
Jesus Himself also said, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves" (Matthew 7:15).
Peter, upon his claim that Jesus is indeed the Lord and Savior and who the New Testament Church was organized, gave this straight talk about destructive doctrines:
2 Peter 2:1-3
But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction, does not slumber.
