When evangelical pastor Rob Bell wrote the book, "Love Wins," he forsook biblical teaching and deceived many of the thousands of evangelical Christians who followed his teachings.
He attempted to redefine heaven and hell to explain away God's Words while affirming homosexual behavior as normal and acceptable in Biblical teaching---which gave birth to the "#LoveWins" movement.
This brand of love didn't win at Manhattan's Chick-fil-A in New York this past weekend, nor does it win when anyone disagrees with the homosexual agenda---anywhere.
It's not winning in San Jose or on ABC's "The View" either. Or in San Antonio, Buffalo, and a number of other cities.
Be informed.
No love in New York.
One of Chick-fil-A's Manhattan locations was vandalized during the Pride parade in New York, Sunday.
The words "F**k Haters" were scrawled in black across one of the restaurant's windows. And on the structure. There was also a brightly colored sign propped up against the door that read, "Love is a terrible thing to WASTE."
And there was pink tape across the front doors.
People who were observing the parade said they saw homosexual activists make obscene gestures toward the restaurant as they walked past.
All Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sunday. The owners close so they and the employees of the $10 billion per year food chain can go to church and worship God. Despite all stores being closed every Sunday, and the widespread opposition because of their biblical beliefs about marriage and sexual behavior, the chain still grew by 16.7% in sales last year which made the 5th year in a row they have grown by double digits.
The company mission statement, "To Glorify God," is also a problem for some. Chick-fil-A has been targeted by homosexual activists for contributing to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Salvation Army because they too believe marriage is only between one man and one woman.
No love in San Antonio, Buffalo, San Jose and most anywhere else they open a new store.
Authorities in San Antonio and Buffalo took action to prevent Chick-fil-A from opening in airports. And remember the now disgraced former mayor of Seattle and homosexual activist Ed Murray? When Chick-fil-A filed for permits to open in Seattle, candidate Murray promised the city he would do everything within his power to stop them from coming to the city.
So they initially opened in Seattle suburbs. Their store in Bellevue continues to have long lines most all the time, every day.
The City of San Jose, CA. said earlier this year they will fly rainbow flags near a new Chick-fil-A that is slated to open at the city's airport. In fact, the city council voted 11-0 to not only put the flags by the Chick-fil-A facility, but to also place a transgender pink, blue and white flag at the San Jose airport.
ABC's "The View" claims even "Jesus would attend a Pride Parade."
The View co-host Sunny Hostin said earlier on the air that she "knows Jesus would attend a pride parade with pride," further contending that "being at a pride parade would be much safer for a child than it has been to be in a Catholic Church."
She told her Catholic Church they should be ashamed for instructing people not to attend pride parades because they promote a culture and encourage activities that are contrary to Catholic faith and morals.
Sunny responded, "I know that God is love, Jesus is love, love is love..."
What does true love look like in the culture?
WSB-TV 2 in Atlanta reported last Wednesday,
"Chick-fil-A employees are know for being polite and eager to please. But a Flowery Branch [suburb of Atlanta] Chick-fil-A worker is now being called a hero."
Teenager Logan Simmons was working the drive-through window last Wednesday when a car pulled up with a 6-year-old choking inside. So the teen jumped through the drive-through window to save the choking child.
He says, "I just jumped out the window and ran straight to the car. I think it was the quickest option. It was right there and I saw the other car right there."
As he approached, the little boy's mother was begging for help. The little boy's seat belt had become tangled around his throat. He was turning red and losing pigmentation in his face.
The teenager took a knife from his pocket and began cutting the seat belt, quickly freeing the 6-year-old.
An hour later, the little boy's mother called Logan Simmons and thanked him for saving her son's life.
How the so-called religious Left perverts true love.
Rob Bell isn't the only one, but he's one of the main ones who are using their influence to mislead thousands. The homosexual activists, of course, embrace him and his false teaching.
He and those who are advancing the "Love Wins" deception are the very definition of the New Testament "wolf in sheep's clothing."
In his book, "Love Wins," Bell redefines three fundamental biblical beliefs of evangelicalism. He says the Gospel is exclusive---but also inclusive in that people worldwide will be saved even if they have not professed Christ. He affirms heaven---but says that Scripture sometimes defines it as the present day. He says he believes in hell---but then says it's not a literal place but simply a synonym for suffering in the modern world.
By the time Bell advocates that everybody will ultimately be saved--regardless of their religion or beliefs, there is no eternal punishment--- so, therefore, there is essentially no punishable sin, and hell and heaven do not exist outside the present difficulties of life.
Bell's teaching, of course, explains away the very words of Jesus Himself: "I am the way the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me."
Bell says what Jesus doesn't say "is how or when or in what manner the mechanism functions that gets people to God through him."
He even notes that "those coming to the Father through Jesus will not even know that they are coming exclusively through him." So all religions will go to a heaven that doesn't actually exist. And they will avoid a hell that doesn't literally exist.
And in that way, "Love Wins."
No wonder people are so confused in our culture today. Bell and his wife are conducting conferences specifically directed at affirming homosexual behavior and same-sex marriage---helping homosexuals to feel good about "who they are."
And the followers are, along with the former evangelical leader, slouching along the path to Sodom.
That kind of love is not about winning. It's about being misled. It's about losing.
Winning love affirms God's Word that the wages of sin are indeed death, but God's gift of love is eternal life through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. And the Bible is God's infallible Word.
You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free.
Fake love causes people to hate anyone who disagrees with their behavior and mark their buildings, destroy their lives, and bankrupt their businesses.
True love causes God to send His Son to die on a literal cross for our actual sins. In the marketplace, it jumps through a window to save a little boy's life.
