Former Abortionist: "I Killed More People Than Ted Bundy"

A doctor who performed as many as 1000 abortions, now says she came to the shocking revelation that she had killed more people than serial killer Ted Bundy---But her actions were legal.

She shares her personal transformation.

Did you know that less than half of evangelicals identify as "pro-life?"

Stunning.

Be informed.

Note: Our radio program, "Straight Talk with Gary Randall," begins airing in Seattle this coming Monday on 820 AM at 11:30 AM each weekday morning. If you live in the Puget Sound area, please join us. If you have friends or family in the area, let them know we're now on.

Doctor Kathi Aultman says she had little objection to most abortion procedures while in her residency program because, she says, "[I] didn't see the fetus as any different from the chicken embryos that I dissected in college."

Then she began to have some doubts.

She says she began having doubts about abortion when she worked at the neonatal intensive care unit, noting that she was "trying to save babies in the NICU that were the same age as babies that I was aborting."

But it was after she, herself became pregnant and had a baby that she began to have very serious objections and, soon after, decided she could no longer perform abortions.

"It was the first time I saw myself as a mass murderer."

Aultman says she didn't become active in the pro-life movement until later.

She says an acquaintance showed her an op-ed article comparing abortion to the Holocaust. When she read that, she was reminded that her father was a veteran of World War II who had helped liberate a concentration camp, adding that she "grew up with those stories."

"When I became a doctor, I couldn't understand how the German doctors could do what they did until I read the article"... "They could do it just like I could kill babies, because we didn't consider them human."

She says, "It was the first time I saw myself as a mass murderer."

"I thought...I've killed a lot more people than Ted Bundy, but it wasn't illegal." The Bundy case was in the news as she had her epiphany.

"And that's when I became pro-life," she says.

Dr. Aultman has seen abortion first hand. She has performed the abortions. She has had a life-changing spiritual epiphany, why do more than half of the self-identified evangelicals not self-identify as "pro-life?"

New Survey finds less than half of evangelicals identify as "pro-life."

A new survey has found that only a quarter of evangelicals in the US believe abortion should be illegal in all cases, and a majority of self-identified Christians in the US identify as "pro-choice", with less than half of evangelicals identifying as "pro-life."

The survey showed that 25% of all respondents identify themselves as "pro-life."

Stats from the survey:

  • 47% of evangelicals, 33% of mainline Protestants and 27% of Catholics identify as "pro-life."
  • 18% of evangelicals identify as pro-choice.
  • 25% of evangelicals believe that abortion should be illegal in all cases, 33% believe it should be illegal in most cases, and 15% believe it should be legal in all cases.
  • 16% of Catholics and 18% of mainline Protestants believe abortion should be illegal in most cases.
  • 23% of all respondents said they would not personally consider abortion to be an option if they or their partner became pregnant.
  • 10% of evangelicals said abortion "would" be an option for them, and 17% of Catholics and 15% of mainline Protestants agreed.
  • 11% of evangelicals said it "could" be an option.
  • Ironically, even among the non-religious respondents, 55% believe a fetus is living when the heartbeat can be detected---or earlier.

The disconnect between what we claim to believe spiritually, and what we say we believe about Life?

As I read the results of this survey, a disconnect became more and more clear.

Dr. Karysse Trandem, an OB-GYN and a spokesperson for "Save the Storks"---the organization who funded the survey, says,
"There's a disconnect in our culture right now. The majority of Americans believe that life begins at or before heartbeat, but the majority of evangelicals and Catholics identify as pro-choice."

She believes that the religious classifications for the survey were done by self-identification and did have an effect on the outcome.

I agree. But there is a more daunting message that transcends the methods of the survey.

Christians are uninformed. We don't know why we believe what we say we believe.

Back in January of 2016, the Des Moines Register covered what they called, one of presidential candidate Ben Carson's final "Revive 714" prayer worship services, in the days counting down to the Feb. 1 Iowa caucuses.

The Register said,
"The former pediatric neurosurgeon spoke with worshipers at Heritage Assembly of God in Des Moines...telling them he is no fan of political correctness...and saying, 'The problem with America, is too many citizens remain uninformed'." He also said all Christians must get involved and vote.

He said,
"When people are not informed, they're easy to manipulate. That's why our Founders, particularly Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson, said that our foundation is dependent on a well informed independent populace.

"Otherwise," he said, "slick politicians and complacent media can warp people's views."

Carson said, "People don't actually stop and analyze things for themselves."

Carson was right. And secular, cultural Marxists have filled the void. They have created a system of thinking that provides the non-thinking, uniformed a narrative of what they should believe.

William S. Lind, in his paper, "Political Correctness," says:

As Russell Kirk wrote, one of conservatism’s most important insights is that all ideologies are wrong. Ideology takes an intellectual system, a product of one or more philosophers, and says, “This system must be true.” Inevitably, reality ends up contradicting the system, usually on a growing number of points. But the ideology, by its nature, cannot adjust to reality; to do so would be to abandon the system.

And Lind says this about the Historical Roots of "Political Correctness:

America is today dominated by an alien system of beliefs, attitudes and values that we have come to know as “Political Correctness.” Political Correctness seeks to impose a uniformity of thought and behavior on all Americans and is therefore totalitarian in nature. Its roots lie in a version of Marxism which seeks a radical inversion of the traditional culture in order to create a social revolution.

The Bible clearly and forcefully tells Christians not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. And this transformation comes only from reading and understanding God's Word in our failing culture.

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Prayerful. Be Transformed.
