Nancy Pelosi: "Mother Earth Is Angry..."

Appearing on MSNBC on the eve of 9/11 last week, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi declared that "Mother Earth is angry..." noting that "climate change is real," blaming those who deny what the Left says about climate change are the real culprits.

California Gov. Newsom says: "The debate is over around climate change"---"I'm angered" that we have to keep talking about it.

Washington Gov. Inslee says the fires in the Northwest shouldn't be called "wildfires"--they should be called "climate fires."

Oregon Gov. Kate Brown says the fires are "Truly the bellwether for climate change on the West Coast."

So, it appears all the Left is angry---including their "Mother Earth"---but is their anger misplaced?

Be informed, not misled.

The West Coast voice of unity.

Speaker Pelosi told MSNBC:
"We have these fires in California, and in the West, 16 people have died in Washington, Oregon and California, including a firefighter and a 1-year old baby."
"Now we are again breaking records," she says. "Mother Earth is angry. She's telling us---whether---she's telling us with the hurricanes on the Gulf Coast, fires in the West, what ever it is, that climate change is real and has an impact."

California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Friday told NBC that anyone who thinks these fires are natural in any way is "in denial."

He also said that he's "exhausted that we have to continue to bait this issue"---"This is climate d__n emergency. This is real."

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee said these fires should not be called "wildfires," they should be called "climate fires."

He says:
"This is not an act of God. This has happened because we have changed the climate of the state of Washington in dramatic ways."

Oregon Gov. Kate Brown told CBS's "Face the Nation" Sunday that these raging fires should be a "wake-up call"---"This is truly the bellwether for climate change on the West Coast" and we must "do everything in our power to tackle climate change."

Far-Left West Coast majorities have elected far-Left Governors, who cling to science and "progressive policies," instead of the old ways.

It's significant that there is such unity among the rules of the west---because they are all wrong.

About Speaker Nancy and her "Mother Earth."

The God Nancy claims to serve, created the heavens and the earth. And He created male and female in His image and likeness. He breathed life into that male and female, creating the earth as the place that would sustain that life.

He also gave the male and female "dominion" (Genesis 2) over His creation (v 26), instructing man to "subdue the earth and have dominion (v 28) over that creation.

God intended the earth to serve mankind and His creation, rather than mankind serving the earth.

However, those who claim to be believers in God, but deny His power and the power of His Gospel, predictably always choose a different, more "progressive path."

Last year the New York Times wrote an extensive article, a gospel of sorts, explaining, as though it were a new revelation, something as old as rebellion against God itself.

Their story reveals that "we now have compelling evidence that microbes are involved in numerous geological processes; some scientists think they played a role in forming the continents."

In creation.

Leading the Times to declare that seen through the lens of Gaia,
"We are a part of this earth and we cannot therefore consider our affairs in isolation. We are so tied to the Earth that its chills or fevers are our chills and fevers as well."

What's Gaia (pronounced "Guy-uh")?

It's an ancient belief going back to the oldest civilizations on earth that hold that the earth is their mother from which they were created. Native peoples around the globe have generally held some form of that belief.

The name Gaia comes from the Greek goddess Gaia.

Your worldview then comes down to which god do you believe? The god of ancient mysticism--- Or the God of the Bible?

Nancy and Inslee and Newsom and Brown are apparently confused about which god did what.

I sincerely hope you are not confused about the matter. To paraphrase Joshua, as for me and my house we're going with the true and living God of the Bible.

So why are these fires becoming more and more intense each year?

The Daily Caller News Foundation has published a well documented, science-based article about what is really behind these raging fires. And it's about reality, not ancient mysticism.

Seattle radio talk show host Jason Rantz wrote an article yesterday specifically about how Gov. Inslee has miserably failed on Washington's wildfires while exploiting them for his "climate change talking points."

This is a brief summary of some comments from both articles. I recommend you read both:

  • Rantz says: "While he'll happily exploit the fires to push climate change talking points, it exposes him as a politician who literally only has talking points to spew. His record on climate change is as abysmal as his plan to defend against these fires. And state documents show the fire problems we're currently experiencing isn't about climate change: It's about poor forest management."
  • Rantz notes that Democrats are in total control in Olympia but have not produced leadership, detailing how Inslee and the Democrats have failed to provide the needed resources for fire fighting and fire prevention over a long period of time.
  • He says: "Dems have total control of the House Senate and Governor's office in Washington. The two bills last session for much-needed forest management resources? Dems didn't move them out of committee. Now Inslee blames climate change to make up for his failures."
  • The Daily Caller article highlights land management rules and other liberal policies put in place by President Bill Clinton in the 1990s paved the way for debilitating wildfires, according to fire expert Bob Zybach.
  • Zybach was sounding the alarm during the Clinton administration as he was drastically reducing logging and road creation on federal lands.
  • Zybach, who holds a Ph.D. in environmental science says Clinton, in 2001, just before leaving office limited the ability of the United States Forest Service to thin out a dense thicket of foliage and downed trees on federal land to bring the West into a pristine state. He says the former president's decision created a ticking time bomb.
  • University of Washington's climate scientist Cliff Mass says: "Global warming may contribute slightly, but the key factors are mismanaged forests, years of fire suppression, increased population, people living where they should not, invasive flammable species, and the fact that California has always had fire."
  • Zybach says the lack of active land management is "almost 100% the cause" of our fires.

Takeaway

We do not worship "mother earth," we worship the God who created the earth and all things.

We must learn to have a biblical form of "dominion"---stewardship, management-- of the earth that God has given us.

We must choose whether we will be led by the far-Left "New Green Deal" so-called "progressive" agenda, or by true science in working to mitigate the expanding fire events.

We must remember that actions have consequences.

So do elections.
