Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson told Republican Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn that she could not define the word "woman" at her Tuesday confirmation hearing.
When asked, the answer was "no."
Why?
"I'm not a biologist."
America, we have a problem.
Be informed, not misled.
Supreme Court nominee Jackson is a profile of the personal and professional conflict progressive ideology creates.
A woman who will sit on the Supreme Court of the United States---if confirmed, and she probably will be--- cannot or will not answer the question, "What is a woman."
Sen. Blackburn pressed her: "You can't?"
Jackson replied, "Not in this context, I'm not a biologist."
Blackburn asked Jackson if the term was too controversial and unclear for her to provide a definition.
Jackson said that "her role as a judge is to address disputes about a definition and make a final decision after reviewing the controversy."
Blackburn replied: “The fact that you can’t give me a straight answer about something as fundamental as what a woman is, underscores the dangers of the kind of progressive education that we are hearing about. Just last week, an entire generation of young girls watched as our taxpayer-funded institutions permitted a biological man to compete and beat a biological woman in the NCAA Swimming Championships.”
The senator asked what message transgender swimmer Lia Thomas’ victory sends to girls, to which Jackson replied that the topic is being “hotly discussed” and could possibly reach the Supreme Court.
On Monday, both Sen. Blackburn and Sen. Cruz asked Jackson about her serving on the board of Georgetown Day School, which uses Critical Race Theory teaching materials---wondering if she thought this would be a conflict?
Specifically, Sen. Blackburn asked Jackson if she believes schools should allow children to choose their gender.
The nominee refused to comment on the matter. You can take that as a "yes."
The assault on our vulnerable children in public, and now private schools, regarding human sexuality, is serving as a wake-up call to parents of all political persuasions.
Matt Walsh debates a "non-binary" couple on the Dr. Phil show.
Walsh joined Addison and Ethan, a “non-binary” married couple, to debate issues related to gendered bathrooms, the differentiation between biological sex and gender identity, and pronouns. Addison described sex as “our biological makeup” while gender is “between the ears.”
Walsh called the couple’s claims on gender “total nonsense,” defining sex as biological and gender as “a linguistic term.” Walsh argued that proponents of gender ideology cannot define basic gendered terms such as “man” or “woman.”
He's right, they can't.
He said, "When a four-year-old boy comes to you and says, ‘Oh, I’m a girl,’ here’s a good follow-up question. What is a girl? Ask him what he means---‘What do you mean by a girl?’ And when you ask him that, here’s what he’ll tell you,” Walsh said. “He will tell you what he really means is that he wants to do some of the things that girls do, like play with a dollhouse or he likes the color pink. That’s fine, play with a dollhouse, but you’re still a boy."
“This is one of the problems with this left-wing gender ideology is that no one who espouses it can even tell you what these words mean,” he continued. “It’s like, what is a woman? Can you tell me what a woman is?”
Walsh then decided to give them the answer: "An adult female."
People are getting sick of the nonsense.
People have problems. People need help.
But the solution for people suffering from gender dysphoria or other similar issues is not to fundamentally erase womanhood, as our Creator designed it. Nor is it to "remake" our culture to accommodate personal issues created by progressive ideologies.
Responses.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis---a Republican, is righting the ship after Sarasota native and Olympic silver medalist Emma Weyant came in second place to transgender competitor Lia Thomas in last week's 500-yard freestyle event of the Women's Swimming and Diving Championships.
On Tuesday, DeSantis said during a press conference he will sign a proclamation declaring Weyant — instead of Thomas — the winner of the NCAA competition.
“If you look at what the NCAA has done by allowing basically men to compete in women’s athletics, in this case, the swimming, you had the No. 1 woman who finished was from Sarasota and then Weyant, she won the silver medal, she’s been an absolute superstar her whole career. She trains, I mean, to compete at that level is very, very difficult. And you don’t just roll out of bed and do it. That takes grit, that takes determination, and she’s been an absolute superstar and she had the fastest time of any woman in college athletics.”
“Now the NCAA is basically taking efforts to destroy women’s athletics. They’re trying to undermine the integrity of the competition, crowning somebody else the women’s champion, and we think that’s wrong,” DeSantis told the press.
And the Governor tweeted this: "By allowing men to compete in women's sports, the NCAA is destroying opportunities for women, making a mockery of its championships, and perpetuating a fraud. In Florida, we reject these lies and recognize Sarasota's Emma Weyant as the best women's swimmer in the 500y freestyle."

Natasha Ward, an actor on the Disney-owned ABC TV series "Station 19" posted this comment on her Instagram account, defending biological women amid the debate: “When ‘your truth’ trumps ‘the truth’ and forces me to pretend that it’s not a lie, we have a very real problem.”
“Supporting trans freedom,” she wrote, “does not mean it’s OK to violate the rights of biological women.”
She also wrote, “Pretending that trans women are not men who have a biological advantage, and therefore place an undue burden on biological women, is make-believe and it is not science nor fact.”
Later adding, “In the long run, women will have to take illegal substances in order to beat men ‘identifying’ as women in women’s sports.”
Her actor friends and colleagues immediately attacked her publicly. There is no room in this discussion for anyone who does not agree with the established narrative on this issue---which basically says the idea that God created "male and female" is a myth.
Disney, whom I wrote about and talked about on the radio yesterday, is now taking on Texas over their position on "male and female."
Disney's Chief Human Resources Officer says the Disney Company is planning to "take action" against Texas Republican Greg Abbot's order to the state's Department of Family and Protective Services to investigate those performing some sex-change surgeries or puberty-blocking efforts on children.
Ben Shapiro, the editor emeritus of The Daily Wire, said this week: "Disney is now injecting itself into politics by endorsing the indoctrination of small children into sexualized worldviews, all because a small woke base has taken them hostage. It's time to fight back."
Takeaway.
The employees write that Disney has “come to be an increasingly uncomfortable place to work for those of us whose political and religious views are not explicitly progressive.”
Instead of asking the company to make political statements on proposed laws, the letter simply asks the company to stay out of politics and remain neutral.
“When Disney takes sides in political debates, they deprive the world of a shared love we all have in common. TWDC is uniquely situated to provide experiences and entertainment that can bridge our national divide and bring us all together,” the letter said.
The employees conclude by saying, “More than ever, the world needs things that we can unite around. That’s the most valuable role The Walt Disney Company could play in the world at this time. It’s a role we’ve played for nearly a century, and it would be a shame to throw all of that away in the face of left-wing political pressure. Please don’t let Disney become just another thing we divide over.”
While Disney tries desperately to keep its happy face in place, one thing is becoming crystal clear: they have lost the moral compass that led Walt to create "Disney".
There's a stern warning in Ecclesiastes 10:8 that all should be mindful of: "He who digs a pit may fall into it, and he who breaches a wall may be bitten by a snake."
Yesterday I referenced a Proverb (26:27) that warns of falling into a pit of your own digging.
In light of the raging war for the hearts and minds of our children, we must be mindful of the snakes--- Who they are, and where they are---and exactly who is trying to breach the wall.
