Yesterday Rasmussen Reports published their latest survey on how America feels about the direction the country is headed.
Most of us were not surprised to see that only 28% of likely voters think the country is headed in the right direction.
That finding was down 2 points from a week ago.
While only 28% think the country is going in the right direction---the reason for the "wrong direction" is what actually divides the country.
Be informed, not misled.
The Rasmussen Reports findings seem to hinge on the same issue.
Mistrust
President Biden, a complicit and faithful press, and a few disgruntled Republicans have led about half of America to believe that almost all conservatives and Republicans are extremists who are about to destroy our "Democracy" with their views and actions. And policies. But mostly their beliefs.
The litmus test is what you believe about the integrity of the 2020 presidential election.
In an exclusive story published this week, The New York Post quotes Department of Justice whistleblowers who describe a 19-month operation in which a Facebook employee secretly sent online messages to the FBI if the author complained about their government – specifically if they questioned if Joe Biden legally defeated Donald Trump.
The whistleblowing allegation only gets more stomach-churning from there: Those social media comments were sent straight to the FBI’s domestic terror unit headquartered in Washington, D.C. From there that key central office forwarded the red-flagged comment to a local FBI office, where a subpoena was issued by the U.S. Attorney’s Office to read and review other messages by the author.
One whistleblower told the Post the people being spied upon were "gun-toting, red-blooded Americans [who were] angry after the election and shooting off their mouths and talking about staging protests. There was nothing criminal, nothing about violence or massacring or assassinating anyone."
The whistleblower said, "Not one of those investigations led to an arrest of anyone for domestic terrorism, but every person investigated was a 'right-wing' individual."
Only Republicans and conservatives were investigated as "domestic terrorists."
A DOJ source told Miranda Devine, a journalist with the New York Post, that these investigations "were done outside the legal process, and done without probable cause."
Most of us remember the firestorm that was created in Virginia some months ago when the Democrat candidate for governor claimed parents did not have the right to decide what and how their children were going to be educated in public education.
When the parents flooded the school board meetings demanding the schools stop teaching their kids Critical Race Theory and so-called LGBTQ+ inspired "gender" studies to children as young as first grade and even kindergarten, the Left immediately labeled the parents who publicly disagreed as "domestic terrorists."
The US Department of Justice then agreed to investigate them---promising to bring together three DOJ divisions, the US Attorney's Office, and the FBI to form a task force to prosecute parents with unwelcome opinions.
The Virginia issue resulted in a Republican being elected governor.
The Left has created an environment of mistrust, I believe, because they have no real plan for America other than to just keep on "making progress."
Making progress to where? And what? They don't know, because they have no vision other than personal power. And personal enrichment in many cases.
The newly created American reality.
Abraham Hamilton III is a Black man, an attorney, and hosts a radio show on American Family Radio.
He is also very discerning.
The other day he was talking about how the DOJ used its law enforcement resources to investigate a person's unwelcome opinion without obtaining a subpoena. Each time the FBI did that he explained---himself a former assistant district attorney, our own Department of Justice violated a person's First Amendment right to free speech and the Fourth Amendment right to privacy and freedom from unreasonable searches and seizures.
Then he said this:
"I graduated law school in 2006,” he said. “I could not and did not imagine that we would be in a place where we are now in our country, where you literally have an official government apparatus being turned against the American people."
We Americans are witnessing a new reality unfold right in front of our eyes.
Yes, as the Left often says, "Democracy is under attack."
The task is to decide who is attacking whom over the issue.
In August another FBI whistleblower came forward after they were literally ordered to invent domestic terrorism cases across the country, which would then justify the DOJ's stated concern for public safety.
You will remember that last February a "terrorism bulletin" from the Dept. of Homeland Security stated the federal government is "concerned about false or misleading narratives" that "sow discord or undermine public trust in US government institutions."
Earlier this summer, the American public watched the Biden administration pause its plans for a "Disinformation Governance Board" at the Dept. of Homeland Security. That plan was put on hold only because social media exploded and blistered its director, Nana Nana Jaankowitcz, for her history of sowing disinformation and even praising censorship.
Takeaway
The looming problem is that more than half of America meets the Left's loose and dangerous definition of a terrorist in their new reality.
So by the federal government's self-determined standards, a non-complimentary news story about FBI whistle-blowers meets that definition.
One can see clearly how biblical preaching will be viewed in this so-called new reality.
