The Paul Pelosi Problem

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

As most of us have heard by now, a man broke into the Pelosi home in an upscale neighborhood of San Francisco shouting, "Where's Nancy?" Where's Nancy?"

Nancy, of course, was in DC where she has a constant security detail with her at all times.

The New York Times and media at large reported that her husband Paul Pelosi was home. Pelosi was badly beaten with a hammer by the intruder.

Paul Pelosi is in the hospital with a fractured skull. Zuckerberg Hospital is reporting he is expected to make a full recovery.

No one should, in any way, condone violence for any reason toward anyone. With the exception of self-defense.

Nor should they lie or use a tragic incident to advance a political narrative.

The mainstream ---or "legacy" media as it's now called,  immediately crafted a story whose narrative led readers to believe it was most likely Republicans and their rhetoric that caused the intruder to attack Paul Pelosi.

There are some questions about the incident that at the time of this writing have not been answered.

Be informed, not misled.

Friday, October 28.

On Friday, October 28, The New York Times reported, "In the early hours of Friday morning, the intruder entered through a back door of the stately home in San Francisco’s upscale Pacific Heights neighborhood, yelling, 'Where is Nancy'?”

Nancy Pelosi, the House speaker, was thousands of miles away in Washington, D.C., protected by her security detail, but her husband, 82-year-old Paul Pelosi, was home. By the time police officers arrived after being dispatched at 2:27 a.m., they found the assailant and Mr. Pelosi wrestling for control of a hammer. The intruder then pulled the hammer away and “violently attacked” Mr. Pelosi with it in front of the officers, said William Scott, San Francisco’s chief of police.

The Times continued, "The assailant was yelling, 'Where is Nancy?' according to a person briefed on the assault. Her husband, Paul Pelosi, was hospitalized with a skull fracture, and the police said the suspect would be charged with attempted homicide."

From the beginning, The New York Times and other media outlets have consistently tried to tie the intruder, David DePape who is now in police custody, to the January 6 riot at the Capitol and other so-called "MAGA" or Republican activities.

Over the weekend Breitbart and other conservative news organizations continue to distribute more and more information about DePape.

Saturday, October 29

Breitbart reported, "DePape’s neighbors said he slept back and forth between a broken-down camper van and a school bus parked outside pro-nudist activist Gypsy Taub’s home in Berkeley. According to DePape’s neighbors, Margarita and Julio Gonzalez, he used to live inside the house with Taub and her family before staying off and on in the buses parked outside."

He also fathered two children with her before she married someone else.

A closer look at Taub’s residence and the busses DePape reportedly slept in revealed an affinity for left-leaning political causes, which stands in contrast to attempts to link the attacker to “MAGA extremists."

However, Breitbart says, "For example, an American flag with rainbow colors [LGBTQ] and marijuana leaves can be seen in front of the house. Looking closer, a handwritten “Black Lives Matter” sign can be seen hanging in one of the home’s windows.

Further, another sign posted in a different window reads, “Berkeley Stands United Against Hate,” which refers to a Berkeley-based organization that aims to “stop the hate and implicit biases that are a dangerous threat to the safety and civility of our neighborhoods, towns, and cities.”

A closer look at the van parked in Taub’s driveway showed more signs of support for left-leaning political causes.

One sticker on the van read, “Ain’t no sunshine until capitalisms gone.”

Another neighbor told reporters that the DePape family are “very radical activists.”

“They seem very left. They are all about the Black Lives Matter movement. Gay pride. But they’re very detached from reality,” said one neighbor who identified as Trish. “They have called the cops on several of the neighbors, including us, claiming that we are plotting against them. It’s really weird to see that they are willing to be so aggressive toward somebody else who is also a lefty.”

Over the weekend, President Biden shouted, with a shaking voice, “It’s reported that the same chant was used by this guy they have in custody that was used on January 6th in the attack on the U.S. Capitol,” Biden said. “I’m not making this up.”

As he spoke about the incident, Biden grew angry and began yelling.

“This is despicable,” he said. “There’s no place in America. There’s too much violence, political violence, too much hatred, too much vitriol.”

The president put the blame squarely on Republicans: “What makes us think that one party can talk about stolen elections, COVID being a hoax – it’s all a bunch of lies – and not affect people who might not be so well balanced?” he asked.

“Enough is enough is enough,” he concluded.

Others are asking the same questions the neighbors are asking.

Much doesn't add up in this episode.

San Francisco police and other investigators still haven’t yet confirmed a motive in the attack on Paul Pelosi, according to the latest reports.

Scott, the San Francisco police chief, said the attack was not a random act. “This was intentional,” he said.

Police didn’t immediately confirm a motive, but three people with knowledge of the investigation told The Associated Press that the assailant targeted Pelosi’s home.

The FBI and Capitol Police are also part of the joint investigation.

That brings us to Glenn Greenwald’s thread examining the media/Dem narrative compared to police statements and what questions are not being asked:

Greenwald sees what’s happened, and it’s that if you don’t automatically agree with the mainstream media hive mind, you’re a wacky conspiracy theorist:

Left-leaning Politico began their reporting on this matter with this:

Early Friday morning, an intruder broke into the San Francisco home of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and bludgeoned her husband, Paul Pelosi, 82, on the head with a hammer.

Details are still scant, but early indications suggest that the suspect, David Depape, is an avid purveyor of anti-Semitic, QAnon, and MAGA conspiracy theories. Before the attack, the assailant reportedly shouted, “Where is Nancy? Where is Nancy?”

By yesterday they said this:

"David DePape forced his way into the home through a back entrance, Scott said. Officers arrived at the house, knocked on the front door, and were let in by an unknown person. They discovered DePape and Pelosi struggling for a hammer, and after they instructed them to drop the weapon, Scott said, DePape took the hammer and violently attacked Pelosi."

Takeaway

  • There are numerous questions, especially regarding the dispatch call about the home invasion. Mr. Pelosi supposedly was able to sneak into the bathroom to make an emergency call, where dispatchers could detect through the audio that a serious situation was unfolding that warranted a health check. Police arrived and disarmed DePape, but the alleged emergency call described him as a “friend.”
  • How did someone break into the home of one of the richest and most powerful families without setting off an alarm?
  • How could Paul Pelosi call 9/11 in the middle of this?
  • Who is the "unknown" person who opened the door for the police?
  • Where is the video?
  • Is the Speaker of the House somehow compromised through inappropriate relationships?
  • Will we ever know what really happened at the Pelosi house?

Probably not.

Jesus told his followers in Matthew 24:4, "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you."
