Hopefully, other states will follow the lead of the State of Montana in withdrawing from the American Library Association.

The Montana State Library Commission voted to disaffiliate from the American Library Association after ALA's new president identified herself as a "Marxist lesbian."
On Tuesday, MSLC voted 5-1 to separate from the ALA in response to comments made by the organization's president Emily Drabinski, who was elected last April and took office this month.
"Our oath of office and resulting duty to the Constitution forbids association with an organization led by a Marxist," the commission stated in a letter sent to ALA.
Drabinski responded to the vote of separation on Twitter, writing, "That is not the Montana — or Montanans — I know."
It was actually Drabinski's comments about the election in April 2022 that prompted the committee's reaction.
Drabinski posted this on Twitter:
"I just cannot believe that a Marxist lesbian who believes that collective power is possible to build and can be wielded for a better world is president-elect of ALA. I am so excited for what we will do together. Solidarity. And my mom is so proud. I love you, Mom."
The post was later deleted from Twitter.
Drabinski said, "The way to get people to understand why libraries are important is by engaging people in a struggle for the fair share of the social wage. It isn’t a matter of better advertising. It’s a matter of sort of stronger connections between libraries and our communities and the communities we serve and the shared struggles that we all have because we are all suffering from the maldistribution of wealth."
Elsie Arntzen, commission superintendent of public instruction in Montana, defended the decision, asserting that "Marxist ideologies directly oppose our Montana values."
"Ms. Drabinski is a supporter of Critical Race Theory, which Montana rejected as discriminatory, and other far-left-leaning ideologies that have no place in our schools and libraries," Arntzen said in a statement.
"Montanans embrace honest and accurate views of history while understanding that our country, at times, has fallen short of its goals. However, common citizens have rallied together to overcome those shortfalls. Our parents are our first teachers, they have an absolute right to determine what is best for their children. By electing a declared Marxist as their President, the ALA has not only turned its back on families, parental rights, and American values – it has turned its back on America itself."
The hiring of a "Marxist Lesbian" to head up the ALA is merely the next step.
America's libraries are already supporting Leftist agendas like "1619," the LGBTQIA2+ agenda, and the perverted "Trans" movement of allowing men to present so-called "Drag performances" in front of 5 year-old-kids in public libraries.
They also strongly oppose any book reading events that even positively touch on a moral issue.
Earlier this year, actor, author, and strong Christian Kirk Cameron and his publisher contacted the American Library Association to schedule one-hour book reading events in libraries across the country--like the advocates of "1619" history, transgender men pretending to be women "performing before little kids and other perverted and anti-American advocates do regularly.
Cameron's publisher didn't get one positive response from all of America's libraries.
Only after his publisher contacted the American Library Association and threatened to sue them for religious discrimination did several of the several thousand libraries in the country allow him to come and give a reading.
Nearly two-thousand people showed up at one of his readings.

Cameron is now working with First Liberty Institute, the nonprofit Christian conservative legal organization based in Texas, to attempt to hold the American Library Association accountable for what he believes is discrimination against him and his pro-faith messaging, judging by its recent advisories to libraries across America to explore ways to "block" his upcoming nationwide story event on August 5.
Cameron told Fox News, "While I’m trying to encourage thousands of Americans to visit public libraries and read wholesome books to their children, the taxpayer-funded American Library Association is not only criticizing me, they are teaching libraries to break the law and conspiring to prevent thousands of families from visiting their own community reading rooms."
Takeaway
In this context, it is not surprising that the American Library Association is working with local libraries to freeze out Kirk Cameron and his message---even providing instructions on how to circumvent the law to achieve it.
Nor is it surprising that the American Library Association would hire a "Lesbian Marxist" to lead them.
This is underwritten by decent, God-fearing, hard-working "normal" American taxpayers.
Our country is a deeply divided nation, much like we were when Abraham Lincoln was elected president.
You will recall that Lincoln, quoting from the teaching of Jesus, told his fellow Americans that America was a "House Divided" and it could not continue with that kind of division without collapsing---adding that he did not believe America would collapse.
Rather it would become all of one side or the other regarding slavery.
We stand today at a similar moral threshold. We cannot continue as deeply divided as a nation over the most fundamental human behaviors. Human sexuality. Corruption. The sanctity of life. You know the issues. And you and I know the solution. It's the same "Truth" that Lincoln fought and died for.
God's Truth.
Ephesians 6:13: "Therefore, take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day and, having done all, to stand."
It's time to stand and "withstand" the evil of our times.
