Middle schoolers in Eugene, Oregon, were encouraged to celebrate the so-called “Pride Month” last week, with different themes acted out each day.
The Arts & Technology Academy in Eugene School District 4J encouraged the children who attend classes there to celebrate the LGBTQ community during “Pride Spirit Week” by dressing up in an LGBTQ theme, including in drag.
The parents were not told about the assault on the children until after the "celebration" began.
Public schools can't keep their hands off our children.
Be informed, not misled.
On one of the themed days, students were encouraged to wear rainbow colors, while on another, they were told to wear black clothing to remember deceased members of the LGBTQ community.
“Wednesday was ‘Drag Day’ where students were told to ‘dress like a drag queen/king/monarch or dress up as a different gender,'” wrote Fox news. The article noted that Thursday was “Queer Hero Day,” and the final event was “Pride Flag Friday.”
Via Fox:
Thursday was "Queer Hero Day" where students picked their favorite "queer hero," such as Freddie Mercury or Chappell Roan.
The week's events concluded with "Pride Flag Friday," where students were told to "dress up as the pride flag of your choice."
A parent who spoke to Fox News Digital said that the school principal sent out a notice to parents about the Pride Spirit Week on Monday afternoon, about 15 minutes after students were let out for the day. The email also said that the weekly activities would coincide with learning in the classroom about "the history of the LGBTQ+ civil rights movement."
The parent was surprised to learn of the activities after the week had already kicked off and wondered why the school hadn't shared with families in advance.
Good question. According to Oregon state law, schools are required to notify parents and guardians ahead of instruction on human sexuality:
ORS 336.465: Examination of instructional material
Notice: pupil not required to take course
Annotations
(1)Each school district shall:
(a)Give parents, guardians and district residents an opportunity to examine the instructional materials to be used in any class, course, assembly or school-sponsored activity.
(b)Inform parents or guardians in advance of any instruction on human sexuality or sexually transmitted infections, including human immunodeficiency virus, and give the parents or guardians an opportunity to review materials. At the same time, parents or guardians shall be informed that a pupil may not be required to take or participate in any instruction on human sexuality or human immunodeficiency virus if the pupil’s parent or guardian, after having reviewed the materials, submits written objection to the school district.
(2)Refusal to take or participate in any class, course, assembly or school-sponsored activity on human sexuality or sexually transmitted infections, including human immunodeficiency virus, shall not be reason for harassment, suspension or expulsion of the pupil. [1993 c.775 §2; 2019 c.280 §7]
The public school in Eugene, Oregon, is breaking the law.
Consequences?
Apparently not much.
When Fox News Digital reached out for a comment, a spokesperson for the Eugene School District 4J confirmed that parents were notified Monday afternoon about the week's activities.
Remember, parents were notified 15 minutes after classes were dismissed for the day.
The school district admitted that the parents should've been notified earlier. This, after they burned information into the child's brain, attempting to normalize perversion.
The district vowed to "work more closely with schools around notice for thematic and spirit weeks," saying it is their expectation that schools communicate with families about special events weeks in advance and comply with Oregon law in allowing families the opportunity to review human sexuality curriculum and opt out in advance."
Why would anyone believe them? They have a history of using your tax dollars to indoctrinate your children without notifying the parents, except when caught in the act, then promising to do better next time.
The district says, "We remain deeply committed to fostering inclusive, safe learning spaces—and doing so in partnership with families. That means ensuring our communication is clear, our curriculum is aligned, and our students feel like they belong," the district said.
Yes, they're "deeply committed."
Babble.
Two days after Trump issued an executive order declaring recognition of "two sexes, male and female," the Eugene 4J school board adopted a resolution on Jan. 22 "affirming gender identity, expression and equity for transgender and gender-expansive students and staff."
The resolution said the district would stand in support of "LGBTQ2SIA+" people and rejected "any attempt to diminish, politicize or marginalize these identities."
You might take a deep breath and say to yourself, "I'm glad I'm not raising my children in Oregon."
The deception is not just in Oregon.
"It's an absolute joke," Kennewick School Board Vice President Micah Valentine said Monday.
"He has been promoting his radical leftist ideology since we've been on the board…. Grades are dropping under his watch. Meanwhile, he's promoting LGBTQIA+ things…"
The Kennewick School Board filed a Title IX complaint with the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights against Superintendent of Public Instruction Chris Reykdal last week, seeking federal intervention over the state's refusal to comply with Trump's "Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports" executive order.
Reykdal defended transgender athletes in girls' sports in an address last month, claiming it was "inaccurate" to say "biologically" there are only two genders.
Takeaway
For the biblical Christian, LGBTQAI, etc., is a denial of Christian faith and biblical teaching to buy into the "intersex" argument.
The Bible is very clear: In Genesis 1:27, the Bible says, "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."
Reykdal is defending his destructive view of trans genderism by confirming the talking points of the Left.
The Left often uses the Bible's comments about eunuchs, who are mentioned in the Bible, to support their "transgender" positions.
New Testament: Jesus's Teaching (Matthew 19:12):
Jesus differentiates between eunuchs who were born that way, those who were made eunuchs by others, and those who chose to be eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. This verse is often interpreted as a discussion of the different reasons why someone might choose or be in a position of celibacy.
Purpose of the teaching:
Jesus is not judging eunuchs or advocating for castration, but rather discussing different paths to a life of celibacy, which he saw as important for some individuals.
Old Testament: Deuteronomy 23:1 (or 23:2 in the Hebrew text):
This law prohibits eunuchs from entering the assembly of the Lord. This is interpreted as a disincentive to castration and a way to protect the community.
Esther:
The book of Esther uses the term "eunuch" (or "saris") to refer to court officials who were likely eunuchs. In the Persian court, eunuchs were often in charge of the care of the women in the palace.
Other References:
Other Old Testament books, such as 2 Kings and Jeremiah, also refer to eunuchs, and "saris" is used to indicate palace officials.
Despite the emphasis on celibacy, the Bible generally views eunuchs as biologically male.
