Did Colorado Just Criminalize Christianity?

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

Standing for Freedom Center says, "The fight must continue — for if allowed to stand, Colorado’s new law threatening to punish anyone who doesn’t adhere to radical transgender orthodoxy will set a precedent for the further erosion of religious liberty and embolden other states to persecute Christians under the guise of 'anti-discrimination'.”

In a chilling assault on religious liberty, parental rights, biology, free speech, and Christianity itself, Colorado’s House Bill 25-1312, deceptively named the “Kelly Loving Act,” was signed into law by Gov. Jared Polis, D, last Friday.

Whether or not you live in Colorado, you should be informed on how this particular bill was presented and pushed through into law by the Left.

Other states are looking at similar laws.

Be informed, not misled.

Another Christian Goes to Court Over Beliefs

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

Yesterday, Lorie Smith, a graphic artist and website designer in Colorado, stood before the US Supreme Court to defend her deeply held beliefs about marriage---and her right under the Constitution to freedom to practice her faith.

She wants to begin offering wedding websites.

However, Smith says, her Christian faith prevents her from creating websites celebrating homosexual "marriages."

The Justices are being asked to settle a First Amendment question they left open only a few years ago.

The Court discussion was revealing.

Faith and Freedom Under Fire

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

Conservatives and faith leaders have been sounding the alarm about a bill making its way through the lame-duck session of Congress – a controversial measure that would codify same-sex civil marriage in federal law.

As of publishing time for this column, the so-called "Respect for Marriage Act" had not yet been passed by the Senate, although it appears they have the votes.

Nor had the amendment that would protect conservatives and biblical Christians from being legally targeted by homosexual activists.

I'll be talking about the bill and its status on our live radio program this morning.

This is an overview of HR 8404. If passed it will be very consequential.

Be informed, not misled.

Biden Names Transgender to Review Defense Department

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

Shawn Skelly, a man living as a woman, has been placed on Joe Biden's transition team to review our Department of Defense.

LGBTQ advocates are now pressing Biden to reverse a number of Trump's policies and advance their ambitious agenda.

Supreme Court Justice Alito expressed concern last week regarding the erosion of our religious liberty, saying: "In certain quarters, religious liberty is becoming a disfavored right---not a cherished freedom."

He noted that conservative, biblical beliefs are being dismissed as "an excuse for bigotry and cannot be tolerated."

Walt Disney once said his goal was to build the "happiest place on earth."

Should Biden become president---God forbid, his apparent goal is to transform America into the "gayest" place on earth.

GLADD Is Sad--Acceptance Of Gay Lifestyle Eroding

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

For the last 5 years, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, or GLADD, has conducted a survey of US adults measuring what they call "accelerating acceptance" of LGBTQ people.

Until now they have used the results to drive home the message that support of the lifestyle is the "right side of history."

However, the 2019 report is in. GLADD is sad about the results.

Be informed.

Schumer: "Hopefully President Has Learned His Lesson"

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

Following President Trump's announcement Friday that he would sign the continuing resolution that temporarily re-opens the federal government, Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told the press, "Hopefully now the president has learned his lesson."

What "lesson" is he and Speaker Pelosi trying to teach the President? And the 63 million people who voted for him?

And are those who support the President continuing to stand with him?

The assault against bakers, florists and wedding venues isn't enough.

A Christian retirement care facility is being sued after it turned away a lesbian couple in accordance with its biblically-based housing policy.

This case will have national implications.

Colorado Barker Targeted Again For His Faith

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

On the day the US Supreme Court announced they would hear the Christian Colorado baker Jack Phillips' religious freedom case---June 26, 2017---a lawyer called Phillips and ordered a cake to celebrate a "gender transition" ceremony.

For the same reason---his biblical faith---he politely declined.

Although the Supreme Court ruled in favor of his religious freedom, the State of Colorado is trying once again to destroy him.

Google: GOP Ideology "Nazism"

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

House Majority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA.) is angry---and he should be. If California citizens Googled the Republican Party prior to last week's primary election, they would have been told one of the ideologies of the Republican Party is "Nazism."

As a powerful Congressman, McCarthy is now demanding social media--Google, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and the rest of them, be held accountable for misleading the public and silencing conservatives.

Justice Clarence Thomas: Now That The Cake Shop Case Is Settled...Here's What's Next

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

In his dissenting opinion in the 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges case where the Supreme Court declared that same-sex marriage is a "right," Thomas predicted that ruling would ultimately lead to conflict between that so-called "right" and religious liberty.

In his concurring opinion in the Masterpiece Cake Shop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission ruling this week, Justice Thomas concludes: "This case proves that the conflict has already emerged."

What's next?

Supreme Court Rules In Favor Of Christian Baker

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

The United States Supreme Court ruled in favor of Colorado Christian baker Jack Phillips yesterday in a significant way, saying the government's hostility towards his refusal to make a same-sex, so-called "wedding" cake violated the US Constitution.

I talked about this ruling on our live radio program yesterday morning, as the ruling was made public.

Here's what caused the Court to rule 7-2 in favor of the Christian, the positive impact of the decision, and how homosexual activists and the mainstream press is trying to play down the significance of the ruling.

Christian Baker Case Represents The Freedom Of All Christians

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

The US Supreme Court will be issuing their ruling this month on the case involving the Colorado Masterpiece Cakeshop lawsuit filed by two homosexuals trying to force owner Jack Phillips to celebrate their "wedding."

Much hangs in the balance. Specifically the religious freedom and expression of that freedom by all biblical Christians.

Court Rules in Favor of Christian Baker

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

A California judge ruled Monday evening that a Christian baker who faced losing her business because she refuses to bake cakes for same-sex "weddings" cannot be compelled by the state to do so.

Religious Liberty In America Weighed In The Balances...

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

After 5 years of enduring homosexual activists' attempts--- using the power of the government--- to strip Jack Phillips of his religious liberty---his freedom---it came down to one and half hours before the highest Court in the land.

Yesterday, Jack made his case for freedom before the most powerful justices in America based on a document that is housed about a mile from the Supreme Court building.

The question?

Does the United States government have the authority under the Constitution to punish a citizen because of his deeply held religious beliefs? Can the state force citizens to act in violation of their conscience?

Major Store Chain Bans Salvation Army Bell Ringers

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

A major store chain has announced it's banning Salvation Army bell ringers this year.

The reason?

It has something to do with the stores' new "social consciousness." Be informed.

Today the Supreme Court of the United States is scheduled to hear the case of the Christian baker who couldn't bake a cake and celebrate same-sex "marriage" because of his biblical Judeo-Christian beliefs.

If he loses, we all lose. Be prayerful.

Can Our Government Impose "Compelled Speech" Regarding Abortion And Same-Sex Marriage?

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

Monday, David French wrote in the National Review, "Today, we must pause and consider an important constitutional moment."

This "moment" involves whether our government can force biblical Christians to advocate for abortion in California and elsewhere.

And if our government can force biblical Christian Jack Phillips to celebrate homosexuality and same-sex "marriage" by creating a cake for their celebration.

In a few weeks, these 2 issues will come before the Supreme Court of the United States.

The bottom line: Can our government impose "compelled speech" on citizens?

Seattle Homosexual Coffee Shop Owner Refuses Service To Christians

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

A Christian pro-life group was ejected from a Seattle coffee shop by it's homosexual owner.

The reason?

The owner, Ben Borgman, told the Christians, "I'm gay. You have to leave."

One of the Christians said, "Are you denying us service?"

Borgman said, "Yeah, I am."

An interesting message from the City of Tolerance.

Supreme Court Now In Session--Religious Freedom On Docket

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

With the nation's attention turned toward the tragedy in Las Vegas, many may have missed the fact that the United States Supreme Court is back in session.

However, the impact of their rulings will not be missed. Among what the press is calling "hot button" issues are several that include the First Amendment---religious freedom.

A bakers right to decline a so-called "same-sex marriage" and a city council's or state legislature's right to pray are included in the "hot button" issues. Birth control is also on the docket.

Attacks On Religious Liberty Up 133%

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

A new report released this week shows there has been a 133% increase in domestic attacks on religious liberty in the past 5 years.

So far this year it is up 15%.

The authors of the report, "Undeniable: The Survey of Hostility To Religion in America," say "To deny that religious freedom is in crises in America is to deny the obvious."

Indeed. And the hostility is primarily directed at Christianity.

Trump Administration Supports Christian Baker--ACLU "Shocked"

Print Friendly Version of this pagePrint Get a PDF version of this webpagePDF

The Trump administration has outlined its support for Christian baker Jack Phillips to the Supreme Court.

The support is strong. Very strong.

The ACLU says they are "shocked."

Their shock is understandable in that they had become accustomed to 8 years of the Obama Administration pushing the envelope of the homosexual agenda---to the point of circumventing the Constitution as needed.

Phillips has been dragged through the courts since he declined to bake a cake for a so-called same-sex "wedding" in 2012.

Now, after 5 years, he has his day in Court---and so does every single American who cherishes religious freedom and freedom of religious expression.

And so does every Christian baker, florist, photographer and venue owner.
